My poor desk is embarrassed that another WOYWW has rolled around and it doesn't have many changes. I do have proof that I have been doing something though. I also have my sob story. :-)
First let me share with you the website where the lovely Julia brings us together on Wednesdays to show off our work area Stamping Ground.
Now for my sob story. I'll keep it brief. My kids moved out. The oldest one quite a while back; the youngest last November. Due to unforeseen circumstances they both moved back in and one of them brought a boyfriend, 2 cats and a rabbit with her. So I went from empty next to overflowing tree. I knew that I would pay for all the peace and quiet. :-) But my craft room is staying in tact so I can live with the extra bodies.
Here is my poor pitiful desk:
And here is proof I have been doing something:
I hope everyone has a great day and be inspired.

That's a Beautiful card and can only imagine how much busier life has become with everyone moving back and the new menagerie x
ReplyDeleteGlad you have your haven to craft in when time permits :0) Happy Easter heather #86
Well to be honest April, you've done more than me this week! Just as I got it cleared to use, the old mojo ran away and I'm trying to work out what to do while I await inspiration. The thought of housework crossed my mind...for a minute!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain it has happened to me twice now and they always come back with partners, children and more. All part of this great adventure!
ReplyDeleteLove your room there is so much going on....

Love the rich tone of the card.
ReplyDeleteI've been the 'they've come back to roost' thing. And you are doing the one thing I wish I'd been able to do... KEEP MY SPACE! I might have been a little more sane the first 8 months my daughter and 18 mo. old granddaughter lived here. Things were much better when the daughter moved on to settle in Nashville while we kept the toddler. LOL That was almost four years ago and my space is JUST NOW beginning to feel like mine again. Enjoy your retreats whenever possible! Creative Blessings! Kelly #158
What a great card...so much attitude and fabulous colors. Some weeks are just more crafty than others. Have fun this week!

ReplyDeleteWow what a lovely card, Happy Easter , Jill #148
ReplyDeleteFab and fashionable card! :) Good luck with the move-back-in'ers! Happy Easter and Happy WOYWW! Nan #115
ReplyDeleteI love the old fashioned feel of the card, with the mother and daughter outfits with fur. Did you draw that? Hope you had a blessed Easter with all your family, April.
ReplyDeleteI did not draw the scene. I just love it and the little dog in the sweater just makes the whole thing. :-) April #175
DeleteI love your card and I feel for you really I do, I had my oldest son move out recently and said now this time are you coming back, coz I don't want to have to undo all this furniture moving and alterations around the house if it is a waste of my time. He said no he would not be moving back in again. I said to him I will hold you to that LOL yep situations change and we have to make adjustments but sometimes we are allowed to be selfish. I still have my 18 y/o daughter at home and will be for awhile.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the family and the cramped conditions, ps do not give up any crafting space, it's yours.
Hugs Eliza
Thank you for your kind words. :-) My 18 year old who had moved out to live with her sister is back and doesn't plan on leaving when my 21 year old daughter and her boyfriend leave. I think she decided living out wasn't all it was cracked up to be. LOL
