I used a stamp from Sweet and Sassy Stamps and Copic markers to color the flower. I used my Silhouette to cut the frame around the Easter Lilly stamp. I followed the 6 x 6 paper pad tutorial at Operation Write Home to come up with the layout of the background. And I used my Brother sewing machine to stitch the pieces of pattern cardstock to the dark green cardstock from Paper Studio. All this was placed on a kraft card base. I can't decide if I'm going to add a sentiment or leave it up to the hero that chooses this card.
I will be sending this card along with most of my other cards to OWH. From there these cards will be distributed to our heroes serving in the military who have requested them. They can use these cards to keep in touch with their loved ones. If you're interested in donating hand made cards to the cause - go to the website and check it out.
Have a great day and be inspired.

I love the way you added the zigzag stitching lines to emphasize the connection between the various patterns of print. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I should have started sewing on my cards a long time ago.
