Blog Stalking - bits & pieces

Another blog that I like to follow to get great ideas is bits & pieces.  There are some great tutorials on this blog as well.  Check it out sometime and prepare to be inspired.

As a matter of fact, one of my Christmas card designs was inspired by her blog.  Here it is.  Mine is not nearly as gorgeous as hers and it's a different take, but I did say mine was inspired by hers, not a copy.  ;-)

Have a great day and be inspired.

Luke 2: 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told us about."

  1. April I am playing catch up on your blog. I have been preparing for a possible snow storm (the first of the season) so grocery shopping, mailing cards, getting salt for steps and calling the plow guy to put us in the rotation. So it was fun to sit and play catch up with April this morning. First of all, Iove the card video. I like that you gave alternative suggestions for those of us that don't know how to sew. I am going to have to run to Target next week and see if there is any of that "twine" at our store. What a great find. Where did you get the little black spoon? I could use that. I love the original design of your card. I too find my inspiration from other cards but really feel happy when I come up with something new. I am definitely going to give your technique a try and put my spin on it and will be sure to post it so you can see it and then I can link back to your blog as my inspiration. I like that thick glitter you used. Will have to see if I could find some. Would love something like that.

Now on today this current card. You must have read my mind. I have been saying I really want to learn how to mask on my cards and put it on my list of things to learn. So the link with the tutorial is perfect. Your variation is simply lovely. I like the effect.

Well I am going to take this pending snow storm as an excuse to continue my catch up on PL. I will order some photos although I doubt I will be able to pick them up until Monday! Keep the good stuff coming girlfriend!

    Have a blessed day!
