This week we are celebrating modes of transportation and in that vain - I've focused on getting from point A to point B via the big blue sky.
I used an old favorite Lawn Fawn stamp set for this first project. I used Versamark ink to stamp the image and then embossed it in black embossing powder. I used a Tim Holtz distress marker in the color pumice stone to highlight the paper airplane. Then I took some Tim Holtz distress ink in Shaded Lilac and inked up the background of the image. I rounded the corners with the We R Memory Keepers corner chomper. The background is some cool hombre paper from Memory Makers that I found at Target. I think I'm going to have to get some more. I can see lots of potential for that paper. I've used it on several projects today.
The tools I used to make this card.

The final product. I forgot to mention I used water color paper and then after inking with Distress Ink, I sprayed some water for the beading effect.
You can see the irridescant enamel dots that I found at Target, too, just tops off the card.
You can travel by hot air balloon, too. This stamp is by Unity. I used a background I made using another technique for this balloon. You can find the technique here: Bokeh Made Easy
I used Versamark ink to ink up the balloon stamp and then embossed in some blue glitter embossing powder that I had lying around. I think it is left over from some Christmas cards I made a couple years back. I popped up the balloon on foam tape and used some more of that hombre paper from Memory Makers to layer the image.
I hope you've enjoyed todays projects. I really like expanding my horizons. I lean towards more girly cards and this is a chance for me to get out of my comfort zone.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Make it, live it and share it.

I love your cards! I'm excited about trying out water colors - you'll have to come over and give me step by step instructions - and no I won't make you clean! :)
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I get to come over and play. :-)
