April Showers Bring May Flowers

I know it is still April, so we have some spring flowers instead of April showers.

Birthday Wrap Up and The First Day of Flower Week

There are several friends and family members that have birthdays in the month April.  It is a great month after all.

I made this card for Jenny using a Penny Black stamp and stencil set.  Poppies are one of my favorite flowers.  I will be using this stamp and stencil set over and over.

This is two fold - It is the birthday wrap up and the first day of flower week.

WOYWW 305 - I just can't seem to get it cleaned up!

Once again it is Wednesday which means that it's time to take a picture of the mess that is my craft desk and post it on Julia's Stamping Ground.  Then I go desk hopping.

I cannot seem to get this mess cleaned up.  I start and then I get side tracked by a project that I need to finish.  Maybe next weekend I can get it straightened.

Happy Birthday!

This week's theme is Happy Birthday.  I never seem to have a stash of birthday cards.  I can't tell you why.  And masculine birthday cards - forget about it!

I asked my husband if a truck with flowers in it was too girly.  I was told yes.  I asked if balloons are girly and he said yes.  Ugh!

So here is what I came up with for Darryl's birthday:

I don't think it is girly.  I used a stamp set from Stamps of Life for the candles.  I used Archival Ink to stamp the candles and then used Fun Stampers Journey Glaze to make the candles look waxy.  I used a glitter pen to give the flames a little glitter.  What?  It's masculine.  Flames glitter!

It's Good Friday

It is good Friday for those who celebrate Easter.  In honor of the day - I wanted to share another Easter project.

I've playing around with my Spectrum Noir markers and a Penny Black stamp.

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's Way.......

I spent this weekend preparing for Easter.  I used an old Tim Holtz set from Archiver's that I hadn't touched and made some cute little cards.

The Easter egg card is pretty Easter specific, but I think the others could be used for other purposes.

I was introduced to a Wink of Stella which you can see on each card.

I couldn't find the envelopes that hold these 3" x 3" card, but thank goodness I could find my envelope punch.  LOVE that thing.
