I colored this adorable image from Starz Stampz with my long lost Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I matted the image with a red and a Christmas pattern paper.  The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.

This digi set is perfect for this time of the year.  It is already colored for me. All I had to do was print out the images and embellish.  I chose to embellish with paper and let the image be the focal point of this card.

Winter Cards 4 Kids - Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Winter Cards 4 Kids or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Send a Smile 4 Kids charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing handmade cards to children who are inpatient at Children's Hospitals.  Please send us your handmade kids' cards for holidays, birthdays, and everyday cheer.  Help us put a smile on our kids' faces.

Winter Card 4 Kids Card Recipe

It's time to make those winter cards which I think can be Christmas too.  I hadn't played with my Tim Holtz oxide inks lately, so I chose my favorite color combo.  But first I stamped my sentiment and snowflakes from My Favorite Things in Versamark Ink and heat set with Nuvo White Embossing powder.  I used a sponge dauber to strategically apply Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean.  Once I sponged the colors to my liking, I spritzed with water.  I went for lightly, but you can see I was a bit heavy handed in the corners.  I finished it up with rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Consider entering our challenge and donating your hand made cards to our great charity.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.
