I am in LOVE

with Zig Clean Brush Markers and Dare 2B Artzy stamps.  I was just introduced to these awesome stamps at Craft Inn our new LCS (local craft store).  I am so excited that we now have one.  I am working towards personally supporting her - lol.  Not really (cough cough).

Here is my contribution to this week's embossing theme.

I used Versamark ink to stamp the flowers and the butterfly.  I masked in order to make the flower look like it's behind the other flower. I heat embossed the black and clear mixed powder.  Then I used my Zig Clean Brush Markers with water to watercolor the flowers and the butterfly.  I used Huey's mist in black to create the black ink spatter.  I didn't spray it - I removed the sprayer from the bottle and tapped the other end.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for another embossing project.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Elegant Embossing

This week's theme is embossing.  Dry embossing, heat embossing, any kind of embossing.

Dee has been doing some dry embossing using Anna Griffin Cuttlebug folders.  Here is her series of 3 cards:

Card recipe: cardstock is Recollections Shimmer in gold and white. Embossing folder is Anna Griffin Cricut Cuttlebug "Calligraphy Frames" using coordinating center die and popped up. Tiny pearls from Martha Stewart were strategically placed in each corner....voila...a quick simple card!

Dee used the Anna Griffin Cricut Cuttlebug Laurel Emblem Frame.  The card was cut with WeRmemory Keepers trimmer deckled blade.

Dee used the Anna Griffin Versailles Frame for this card.  She used Tsukineko's Starlite Silver Dew Drop to ink around embossed Sentiment. Placed flat metal stick ons around the card....another card quickly and easily done.

CASEing E.T.

I found this beautiful card in a challenge and knew I had to CASE it.

This week's theme is embossing so my CASE fits right in.

You can find more creations by Erum Tasneem ( I think that is the correct spelling) at her Blog.

Here is my CASE of her beautiful card:

I started out with a stamp set that I own from Martha Stewart.  I am really happy with how it turned out.

I used a butterfly stamp from  Dare 2B Artzy.  I used Zig Clean Brush Markers to watercolor the butterflies.  I am so excited with my CASEs.  Thank you E.T. for inspiring me.  I entered this card into the challenge at CASology.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Wrapping Up Embossing - Christmas Card - What Christmas Card?

Sherry has been at it with her Silhouette again.  She's created some adorable cards and used embossing to embellish her cute little puppies.

I just cannot get motivated to create a Christmas card.  But don't give up on me yet.  I still have 10 months!  LOL

Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope you got some embossing ideas.  Tune in next week for tags.  Maybe I will be inspired to create a Christmas tag, but don't hold your breath.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Dry Embossing, Wet Embossing, It's All About Embossing

I embossed multiple ways on one card.  And watercolored and embossed on another card.

The first card was something I had pictured in my mind.  Of course the final product isn't exactly how I pictured it, but I like it.

I first used my Silhoutte Cameo to cut a 'viewmaster slide' stencil.  To create a stencil I use flexible cutting boards that I get from the Dollar Tree.  It took me a few tries to get it cut out.  I think I need a deep cut blade.  I don't know if I can get one of those for my silhouette.

I used the stencil that I created and did some watercoloring with it.  I then stamped the sentiment in the middle of a circle that I punched out.  I used Versamark ink and embossed it with black embossing powder.  I used a button brad to attach the sentiment to the card.

This next card has dry embossing and wet embossing:

The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder.  The background is dry embossed with a Teresa Collins embossing folder.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for some more embossing.  I'm not even going to mention the Christmas card.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

John 10:28 - 30  I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;  no one will snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all;  no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.  I and the Father are one.

2 Corinthians 5:14 - 15  For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.  And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Happy Presidents Day and It's all about embossing this week

I am on a watercolor kick.  My Mom bought me the watercolors that I wanted for Christmas.  I've been playing around with them.  And playing around includes stamping an image with Versamark ink and embossing it with black embossing powder.  Then I paint it with watercolors.

Here is one of my first attempts:

I still need some practice, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out.  I used a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey for the base.  The watercolors are Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 Color Set Japanese Traditional Solid Water Colours for Professional Artists and Crafters.  They are on Amazon.com.  I am not an artist, but I do like these watercolors.  They are nice and creamy.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for some more embossing projects.
