Halloween Challenge on Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is Halloween.  Our wonderful sponsor is LeAnn's World and if you enter you have the chance to win 2 images.

I used the image Kate to create my card.

Halloween Card Recipe

This little digi was printed on water color paper.  I found some paper at Hobby Lobby that comes in a pack instead of on a pad and the paper is thinner than a traditional water color paper.  Because it is thin, it will feed through my printer.  I colored the image with Zig Markers and layered it on coordinating card stock.  I added some glitter to the stars and cauldron with a glitter pen.  So effective and I always forget about it.  I think this image is adorable and wanted it to be the focus of the card.

Tutorial on How to Use the Trace Tool in Silhouette Studio

Ever find an image on the internet or that someone sent you that you thought would look good on a shirt or a card or a cup, but didn't know how to make that happen.  Well, today I share with you how you can take an image from a text or from the internet and trace that image to create a cut file.  You can then cut out that image using your machine of choice.

This video is pretty long, but I go into great detail on how to trace the image and break it up into the different colors to make the design for my t-shirt.

I start with this:

And end up with this:

Check out my video.  Give it a thumbs up if you like it.  Subscribe if you want to see more and click the bell to be notified when I upload new videos.

Celebrate or Anything Goes 4 Kids Challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Celebrate Cards 4 Kids or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Send a Smile 4 Kids charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing handmade cards to children who are inpatient at Children's Hospitals.  Please send us your handmade kids' cards for holidays, birthdays, and everyday cheer.  Help us put a smile on our kids' faces.

Celebrate 4 Kids Card Recipe

I used a new My Favorite Things set BB Picture Perfect.  I stamped them all on white card stock and did some Copic coloring.  Next, I used my awesome Brother Scan n Cut to cut out the images.  These 2 ended up on a white piece of card stock matted with purple card stock.  I stamped Celebrate with another stamp from My Favorite Things.  Flat enamel dots from Doodlebug top off the card.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Consider entering our challenge and donating your hand made cards to our great charity.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.

Lots of Layers at the Creative Knockouts Challenge

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is Lots of Layers.  Our wonderful sponsor is All Dressed Up and if you enter you have the chance to win a $12 coupon.

I used the image Pretty in Plaits to create my card.

Lots of Layers Card Recipe

I printed the digi image and colored just the flowers with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I matted the image with black card stock and the background with black card stock.  Then I added some crystals and put it on a card base.  I think just coloring the flowers and leaving the rest black and white makes the flowers pop.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.
