It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is Anything Goes.  Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter and if you enter you have the chance to win 3 digi images from the shop.  They have a great selection of fun digi images.

I used digi stamp What a Mess to create my card.

Right here!  This image describes exactly how I feel during the holiday season.  I am excited because I love Christmas.  However, I am a procrastinator at heard and I tend to wait until the last minute to work on what I should have been working on 6 weeks ago.  Regardless this is the most wonderful time of the year and this is such a fun image to work with.  I colored it with Copics, but the image comes already colored as well.  I used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut out the image after it was colored.  I enlarged the cut out on my Scan N Cut to cut out the mat behind the image.  I thought it looked best of a black background and then matted the black background with the same blue that is behind the critter.  I say critter because I'm not sure if it is a reindeer or a moose.  I sprinkled gems all over the background and the sentiment is printed from Word.  It seemed the appropriate sentiment.

Here are some affiliate links for products I used for this card.  No cost to you, but I get a small commission if you purchase a product through this link:

Winter Cards 4 Kids Challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Winter Cards 4 Kids or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Send a Smile 4 Kids charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing handmade cards to children who are inpatient at Children's Hospitals.  Please send us your handmade kids' cards for holidays, birthdays, and everyday cheer.  Help us put a smile on our kids' faces.

I love the look of embossing on an inked background.  These snowflakes were embossed with silver and white embossing powder after the background was inked with Tim Holtz inks.  Celebrate was cut out of red card stock with a die cut and I glued it on with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.  I love that stuff because it dries matte and if you're like me I get messy with glue.  I matted the card front with a red from my scraps and put it on a card base.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Consider entering our challenge and donating your hand made cards to our great charity.

Here are some affiliate links to the products I used.  I get a small commission which helps supply my crafting supply addiction, but it doesn't cost you a thing.
