Furry Friends Challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's theme challenge is to use the recipe below.  Our sponsor is Bugaboo and if you enter you have the chance to win 2 images from the shop.

I used digi stamp Birthday Puppies to create my card.

Furry Friends Card Recipe

I absolutely love Bugaboo Stamps.  The stamps are quite whimsical and they inspire me to create.  I actually made this card for the recipe challenge, but Bugaboo wasn't sponsoring the recipe challenge, they were sponsoring the furry friends challenge.  That was the first time I'd ever submitted my design card early.  You know I work best under pressure.  ;-).   I printed the image on my Kodak printer and colored it with Copic Markers.  You can't really go wrong with this cute puppy and the colorful presents.  I used an old birthday print card stock for the background and added fun enamel bubble dots for interest.  The Happy Birthday was stamped on a piece of white card stock and plopped on a coordinating blue card stock.  I placed that in the corner so it looks like the puppy is peering around it.

Cards 4 Teens Challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Cards 4 Teens or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Send a Smile 4 Kids charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing handmade cards to children who are inpatient at Children's Hospitals.  Please send us your handmade kids' cards for holidays, birthdays, and everyday cheer.  Help us put a smile on our kids' faces.

Cards 4 Teens Card Recipe

This card features a free printable from Catherine Pooler.  You can find it here:  https://shop.catherinepooler.com/products/spreading-rainbows-download?_pos=2&_sid=6ebd23991&_ss=r
You can print it on plain white paper and ink it up or use your water color look paper, print it and add your favorite embellishments.  I decided to ink mine up with rainbow colors.  My granddaughter says her favorite color is rainbow and I think that might be my favorite color too.  Rainbows are so bright and happy and just make me smile.  I think a teen might enjoy getting this card from someone.  Once the ink dried, I spritzed it with water to get the splotchy look and I added some colored gems.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Consider entering our challenge and donating your hand made cards to our great charity.

Here are some affiliate links to the products I used.  It doesn't cost you a thing, but I get a small commission which helps me purchase my crafting supplies.

Card Recipe Challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's theme challenge is to use the recipe below.  Our sponsor is LeAnn's World and if you enter you have the chance to win 2 images from the shop.

Challenge: Recipe-    1- digi image
                                 1- sentiment
                                2- pattern papers
                                3- embellishments

I used digi stamp Thinking Thiana to create my card.

Recipe Recipe

I'm not a good cook, but I can follow a recipe and the result is usually pretty good.  I don't do well with modifying recipes either - I make it like the recipe says so this challenge is right up my alley.  I started with Thinking Thiana from LeAnn's World Digis.  I colored her with Copic markers.  That was fun - I haven't been coloring as much as I would like.  That fulfilled the 1 digi image.  The image came with the sentiment already on it, so check on the 1 sentiment.  2 pattern papers.  Hmm....  I think I only see one pattern paper.  And I said I wasn't good at modifying recipes.  LOL. Actually I have been known to forget an ingredient in a recipe before.  I know - crazy!   So 1 pattern paper and 1 solid with a texture that we're going to call a pattern.  ;-). My 3 embellishments are enamel dots in coordinating colors.
