Something to Say Challenge at Creative Knockouts

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's theme challenge is Something to Say.  Our sponsor is Pattie's Creations and if you enter you have the chance to win 4 images from the shop.

I used image Flip Flop Trio to create my card.

Something to Say Card Recipe

I am a giant flip flop fan.  When I saw this image in Pattie's shop I knew this was the one I wanted to make into a card.  I decided that I wanted to keep the black and white and add a pop of color and of course the pop of color is my favorite color red.  I printed the flip flops 2 times and fussy cut the ones I colored.  I also cut out the sentiment so I could pop it up on a red mat.  The flip flops were popped up on top of the plain image of the flip flops.  Why?  I have no idea because you can't even see them now.  LOL. I thought about some enamel dots but decided to keep this one plain and simple.  I added the red mat to the back of the card front and that was it.  I used a Tombow Marker to color the flips.  And I used left over red card stock for the mats.  I really like how it turned out - I hope you do too.

Here are some affiliate links for products I used for this card.  No cost to you, but I get a small commission if you purchase a product through this link:

Tween Cards or Anything Goes at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Tween Cards 4 Kids or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Send a Smile 4 Kids charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing handmade cards to children who are inpatient at Children's Hospitals.  Please send us your handmade kids' cards for holidays, birthdays, and everyday cheer.  Help us put a smile on our kids' faces.

Tween Cards 4 Kids Card Recipe

I have been playing with a new set I received from HSN by Diamond Press.  I absolutely love rainbows and especially rainbow colors.  The latest set included a rainbow die, cloud dies and a cloud stencil.  I played around with my Tim Holtz Oxide sprays and those new dies and stencil to create this card.  Hello seemed like an appropriate sentiment and could be useful for any number of occasions - birthday, just to tell someone hi, etc.  I know I will be using this set many more times.
