James 4:7  Submit yourselves, then, to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

For those of you who pray regardless of your religion - let's all pray for the leaders of our countries that they be blessed with wisdom from a greater power.  That the decisions they make be for the greater good of their fellow countrymen and the world.

This Week is About the Peeps

This week's theme is people.  We the people kind of naturally flows behind the week of the Fourth of July.  Today, Dee shares a great card with one of our favorite AI ladies.

Art Impressions Dare to be Fabulous from Hobby Lobby.  Dee took it a notch up by using Flower Soft to make her fur coat look fabulous.

Card stock from Hobby Lobby. Stamped images are from Art Impressions (AI) colored with Copics and Tim Holz Distress inks for sky Tumbled Glass and for the Sun, Mustard Seed. Sun was cut out and put on pop dot. Clear Wink of Stella was put around the Sun for a little sparkle. Gold Wink of Stella was used to color one of the bathing suits, hat and shoes. On sunglasses a dab of Glossy Accents was added.

A Sentiment of any kind can be added at the bottom of the card, such as "Happy Birthday" or "Just Because" then send to a friend.

It's all about the people.........

This week's blog theme is people.  And of course you know Diane is the Queen of coloring the people.  So today we start off the week with Diane's peeps.  :-)

Love this image.  It can be found at Michaels by Art Impressions.

Love this front and back stamp by Art Impressions.  The door was created by Diane using a die from the The Cat's Pajamas.  The ballons were created using a Martha Stewart Balloon Punch.

I just love the color coordinating Diane does with the lady's outfit.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more projects with the peeps.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Today I am going to share an easy watercolor technique using my Spectrum Aqua Markers by Crafters Companion and a sketchy horse stamp W116 - Filly Sketch Stamp by Stampendous.

Happy Birthday America

It is the Fourth of July and that means the United States of America is celebrating another birthday.  This brings up so many ideas for cards and projects with patriotic themes.

The design team has stepped up this week and given me all kinds of projects to share.

Here is a card that Dee made celebrating America's birthday:

"Happy Birthday America"
CardRecipe:
Cardstock from Jenny at SBN Memories. Banner Die cut images from WeRmemory Keepers.
Happy Birthday Sentiment from Vintoligie Stamp and Stencil set. "America" is made up of letter dies from
Sizzix-Letters and inked with Tim Holtz Distress inks. The "its party time" sentiment is a vellum sticker.
May everyone take a moment to be thankful for our brave military that keep our country safe so America can continue to have many more Birthdays. Then go party..... God Bless!   Dee

Diane whipped up this red, white and blue card:

She used vellum and printed card stock to create this project.

And here is the card I created:

Card Recipe:
I used my Dreamweaver Embossing Paste for the first time.  I cut a wave using typing paper and used it as a mask.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink is the colors Faded Blue Jeans and Fired Brick to ink the wavy colors.  I used a die set called Elements from Avery Elle to cut the wave on the bottom of the image and the tag sporting the sentiment.  The sentiment is Circle of Honor from Paper Smooches.

I did another card using a die from Spellbinders:

Card Recipe:
The paper is from Authentique.  The hot air balloon is by Spellbinders called In'Spire Up Up and Away.  The sentiment is Scripty Sayings from Paper Smooches.

I hope everyone has a happy Fourth of July.  Remember those who have sacrificed so that we could be a nation.  And then like Dee said - party on.  ;-)

Thank you for stopping by.  Tune in next week for a new theme  -  'people'.

It's a Grand Ole Tag!

It's the week of the Fourth of July here in the U.S.  So that is the theme of this week's blog.

Anastasia made some patriotic tags for the occasion.  This is her current obsession - tags.  :-)

Aren't these adorable!!  The bear is an older Stampin Up stamp.  What a great tag to put on a bottle of wine you take to a cookout.  Or on the storage container that holds your favorite picnic dish.  Everyone will know who it belongs to.

Thanks for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for an extra Fourth of July project post.  :-)

The Fourth of July - Thank You

Fourth of July brings lots thoughts to mind.  I think of freedom and I think of sacrifice.  I think of picnics and my love of the United States of America.  So many options with this week's theme of Fourth of July.

Here is what Sherry created for this week's theme.

Love this card.  So Fourth of July.  This would be a great Any Hero card to donate to OWH.  You have to have all cards in by August 1st.

If you have a Silhouette you can create this card too.  Just go to the Silhoutte Design Store and purchase this cut.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for more Fourth of July projects.

Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 317 - Busy Busy Busy

It is Wednesday which means I need to take a picture of my desk and share it on Julia's Blog.  But what is more fun is going and around to other crafter's desks and seeing all their goodies.

She's a Grand Ole Flag

Fourth of July brings conjures up many visions.  I think first of fireworks.  Then I think of freedom.  And that all goes back to the flag.

Dee has created this very patriotic card in honor of the fourth of July.

Above flat view pic is to show the how Flag is in a wave position.
Celebrate
"Old Glory"
Cardstock is from Jenny at SBN (Jenny has the best card stock around).
Flag was made with strips of cardstock by using Decorative Scissors, then adhered to a small piece of cardstock. A Square was punched for the Stars, then faux stitched. A little Wink of Stella was added to the Stars and around the stripes for a little sparkle. Tim Holtz, Vintage photo was lightly inked over entire Flag for an aged look. Celebrate sentiment is Fiskars.

Card recipe: (no Dies were used in the making of this card. Only one square punch.)

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for another fourth of July project.

It's Fourth of July Week on the Blog

This week's theme is Fourth of July.  It can be red, white and blue;  picnics;  or, what ever makes you think of the Fourth of July.

The first thing I think of is Red, White and Blue.

Here is a card from The Silhouette Design Store:

I used a white card base and cut the mat with my Silhouette.  I then added the stripes.  I used Stampin Up white embossing powder to add the sentiment by Hero Arts.  I really like the way it turned out.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for another Fourth of July project.

Have a great day and be inspired.
