Dear Blog,
I found this great lighthouse stamp at Hobby Lobby on Saturday. This is my first attempt at using it. I couldn't come up with an appropriate sentiment so I just didn't add one. I also want to do a night background with this stamp and then have the light shining from the lighthouse into the darkness.
Here it is:
Supplies:
Spellbinders dies
Stampendous 'Beacon of Light Stamp'
Stampin up ink: Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point
What ever brown ink was still on the sponge of one of my ink daubers
Versamark Ink
Black embossing powder

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card--that's a great image!
ReplyDeleteMissed you at woyww this week!
:)trisha
late again this week,
but I made it to the party!
Happy WOYWW, maybe see you there next week?
I love lighthouses! I like the way you've done the background inking to look like light coming from the lighthouse. Very effective indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment - glad you like my new spoke guards. My opinion is that if you've got to use a wheelchair, it might as well be a vehicle not just for getting around, but to express your personality too! I could quickly become a rolling mobile art gallery lol!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi April - thanks for calling by!
ReplyDeleteThe stamp you were interested in is a Weeping Ash and it's from Clarity directly. They are a UK company, but am sure with ship overseas - am not sure that they sell through any outlets other than their own online shop. Hugs, Di xx
Hi April
ReplyDeleteJust calling by to see you after you left me a WOYWW comment. This lighthouse card is lovely and what a great idea to do a night scene later on.
Hugs
