WOYWW 197 - A BIG Mess

It is once again Wednesday and this week my desk looks like a hurricane went through.  I worked on cards this weekend for Mother's Day and for a 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge.  If you want to see work desks from around the world and spend the next week checking out some awesome blogs - visit Julia here:  Stamping Ground

Meanwhile here is my messy desk and my new purchase for my alcohol markers.

I found 2 of these divided wood crates at Joanns and thought they would be a pretty way to store my ever growing collection of alcohol markers.  I am a mix and match kinda gal and I have Copic, Prismacolor and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  This way I have them organized by color and I can easily carry them upstairs to color while I watch TV.

Have a great day and be inspired.

  14. Hi April, thanks for visiting me already and leaving me a sweet comment! :) Love the new pens box and I don't know for sure if this applies to Copics or not(because I don't have any) but my other nice coloring markers say to store them laying on their sides...and considering the investment Copics are I hope storing them standing up won't affect their lifetimes, which is why I thought I would pass that bit of info along. Basically, you may want to do a little research on how they should be stored...I would just hate for them to dry out or get messed up on you, even though the new box looks lovely and very very handy...but maybe it could just be turned on its side so the markers are laying flat and still be used? I don't know, mostly because I could be completely wrong about the markers needing to be stored flat! lol :) I just wanted to make you aware if you need to be, these supplies we *need* aren't cheap after all! Perhaps some of the other WOYWW'er's might know more than me and can advise/educate April and I? :) Have a fab week! Deeyll #136

    1. Thank you for the info. I will do some more research on that. And like you said - I could easily turn these boxes on their side and they would be just as pretty. :-)

  17. You surprised me and came in early this week! Sorry I missed you earlier. For some reason this week I found myself really liking the "connection" with people I usually exchange comments with....this world wide web thing is pretty amazing. What's the 10 minute challenge about? I don't think I could do anything in ten minutes, except maybe make a mess! Love the mix and match approach. I find I use my other soluable markers a lot more now that I have the distress markers too. As long as it's color, I'm happy! Hope all is well with you and yours.
