I've been so focused on my Project Life that I've fallen behind on my card making for Operation Write Home. I don't know why I can't multitask. LOL
I made the original card at least a month ago and cut out pieces to make more of the same card, but between work, vacation and PL, I hadn't gotten around to making the others.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the coffee cup. I also used the Cameo with the pen to create my sentiment. I came up with this one; although I feel quite sure it is not original. I always run my puns by my husband to make sure they make sense to someone other than me. :-) I also used a Hero Arts stamp, Tim Holtz Distress Ink and my sewing machine.

I really enjoy sewing on my cards and my Project Life albums. I think I'm going to start sewing my big 12 x 12 pages, too. :-)

Hi April! I have been playing mad catch up with PL too. This weekend I printed a bunch of photos and will sit tonight and stick them in the album. I made a goal to complete this years album by the end of the year so I can start off fresh next year. I do agree it can take over sometime but remember it is an amazing project you will have to look at and share with friends and family.
ReplyDeleteI love your cards. They are so stinkin' cute. I just bought a stamp of a that shape of cup by Flourishes. But I would love that shape for my Silhouette. Did you make it or buy it? I have never used the sketch pens yet. But plan to learn.

Thank you so much for stopping by. :-) I agree with you on the Project Life - I look at it as a great opportunity to keep a diary of my family. I don't think I will be able to catch up what I've missed by the end of the year - I am going to try though.
ReplyDeleteThe cup is from the Silhouette store. It is called coffee cup to go. Design ID #37942 The sketch pens are great. You just replace the blade with the pen and go. Just remember to remove the letters when you go to cut out the image. Let's just say I speak from experience. LOL
OWH is a great charity. I'm better about sharing my cards with OWH than I am my own friends and family. ;-)
