It is once again time to take a picture of my work area and share with the rest of the world at Julia's Blog - The Stamping Ground.
I feel like a broken record here. I am having technological difficulties. Technology is great when it works. My Sony Bloggie died. :-( I've looked for a new one, but it seems a little silly to buy a new one when I have regular digital cameras that have video capability. So my difficulty isn't as much technological as it is set- upological. I couldn't think of an ology word for setup although I am sure there is one.
My dilemma is that the location of the of the doo dad that attaches the camera to the tripod is not conducive to shooting video from overhead without interfering with the movement of my arms and chair. So, in order to overcome my set up issues - I created my own bi-pod structure with the material I had available to me. Foam Core fixes everything - right? Foam core and pins.
Here is my innovation at work:
The camera sits on top in the middle - there is a hole for the lense. It serves the purpose right now. It will not withstand much wear or tear though.
Well I'm off to visit desks from around the world.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great day and be inspired.

Romans 8:1 -2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:1 -2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
And if the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed . . . didn't know where that was, had to google the "address" (it's John 8:36), but that's what came immediately to mind when reading the Romans verses!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, looks as if necessity is the mother of invention at your house right now; I just wait for a sunny day and hope for the best!
Happy woyww,

Hi April, looks to me like you've worked it all out, just need to make the same out of wood. I see you're busy on your desk too...have fun. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#29
ReplyDeleteBRILLIANT invention! I think you are a genius! I too use foam core for every need. I am looking for a camera to do videos with too as my webcam is not great, but we don't have the bandwidth for uploading fast enough so I have to shoot straight to youtube which sucks cos you can't edit. Well, I have not worked out how to yet. Need to work on that again some time soon. #39
ReplyDeleteG'day April;. Happy WOYWW day to you. I'm a returning WOYWW member after a long 6 months plus break. You desk is full of creativity...gorgeous...love the camera/video set up but yes I think you need a wood version!

Aw bless you April...I barely understand what you're talking about - never even heard of Sony Bloggie!! But, I fully admire your interim invention - nothing can keep a busy woman from her work!
ReplyDeleteDon't know the camera Sony Bloggie but your invention is just ingenious. Clever you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Necessity is certainly the mother of invention - great idea. Have a good week, Chris # 35
ReplyDeleteFoam core can fix everything! My entire photo booth is made from it, lol! I like your attitude and inventiveness. I think it's likely the juvenile cranes that came so close to us, some of the others would walk parallel to us but at a distance of 5ft - 10ft away from us, but keeping up! The park had signs up saying not to feed them so I think that's the main reason for their lack of fear, but anyone thinking they can offer birdseed to them and not get (accidentally) pecked by those long pointy bills must have a screw loose!

Well done with the high tech meets low tech solution but like julia said it's all a foreign language to me too

Oh Yes foam core board is like Duct Tape and a hot glue gun. A simple MUST HAVE to keep creativity afloat.
ReplyDeleteClever girl, good job!
