In the Red Wrapped Up

Today is Rita's day to share her awesome red project.

The stamps are from Inky Antics.  The fire hydrants are from the Silhouette store:

Rita stamped the dog image in black on white paper, scanned it and created a file.  Then she enlarged the dog and printed it on Neenah Classic Crest and colored with Copic markers. His face was colored from a second image and popped up with mounting tape.  Dog image is from an Inky Antics stamp set.  The hydrant is a silhouette file that Rita made into a card.

I also have Valentine's mailbox box card to share.  I cut it out using my Cricut Explore with a cut file from SVGCuts.com.

I didn't have enough room for a Christmas card this week.  Yep - that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thank you for stopping by the blog this week.  Tune in next week for Baby baby.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Still Loving Red......

I'm really enjoying this week's theme.  Red is my favorite color and I could use red in every project I make.  So this week - I get to do that.  :-)

Here are some cards that I made using the stamp set Lotus Blossom from Stampin Up.  I used ink from Stampin Up and Fun Stampers Journey.  I used cranberry bliss ink for the sentiment and card
stock.  Both are from Fun Stampers Journey.

The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey.  I did some sewing on all but one of the cards.  The enamel dots are from Reflections (Michaels).

Fortunately red is a great Christmas color since tomorrow is Friday and that means I share a Christmas card.  I think I might have to make my own this week.  Oh well, it was bound to come to this.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

1 Peter 5:8 - 9  Be alert and of sober mind.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

WOYWW 295 - Working Hard

It is Wednesday and that means I need to take a picture of my desk and share it with Julia at The Stamping Ground.  And then I get to go snoop around the desks of other crafters.

Here is my desk this week:

The desk looks just like it did last week!

Here is a red project.  My design team (in other words my friends who contribute to my blog when I can convince them) has given me lots of material this week:

Diane created this great card.  And what is better than 'red' wine.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for some more 'In the Red' themed projects.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Still In the Red............

Red is my favorite color and this week's theme is all around my favorite color.

One of my favorite places to shop is SVGCuts.com.  I love Mary's creations and her Valentine's projects are no different.  Here are the cutest little Valentine's mailboxes ever.

This is a Valentine's Box to collect Valentine's cards:

I used some Valentine's paper from My Mind's Eye:

Here is a cute mailbox that I made using Valentine's paper from Doodlebug:

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  If you want to make these Valentine's boxes for yourself, check out SVGCuts.com.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW for the world's largest weekly blog hop.

In the Red................

This week's theme is In the Red.  Red is my favorite color and is an appropriate color for this time of the year with Valentine's Day right around the corner.

But you can have projects with red that have nothing to do with Valentine's Day.

Sherry has been working on her Silhouette Cameo again.  She found this in the Silhouette store and created this adorable birthday card:

How adorable is this Happy Birthday Hippo?  Love the red background with the dry embossed circles.

This is a good start to In the Red week.  Tune in tomorrow for more Red.  Tomorrow will be more Valentines related.  :-)

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Merry Christmas! I know it's a little early....

but I want to be prepared next Christmas Season with plenty of Christmas cards.  Let's see how I am doing:
Week 1)  No Christmas Card
Week 2)  A Christmas card - yay!
Week 3)  Rita's Christmas Card - hmmmm

But that's okay because we made this card in Rita's class.  So even though mine isn't quite done - it will be - soon.  ;-)

Here is a cute Christmas Card using the same polar bear stamp as on Monday's card:

It is a medium tri fold card most likely from the Silhouette store, but modified to fit this theme.  Too cute!

Thank you for stopping by the blog this week.  Tune in next week for a new theme.  It's gonna be.....In the Red.  I just came up with it.  I think I need to let my design team know.

Have a great day and where ever you are  -   be there.

Anything Goes Birthday!

I have a goal.  I want to have cards on hand for specific occassions.  Birthdays, Sympathy, Thank You, Congratulations, etc.  The card I made for today gets me closer to my goal

I used some leftover pattern cardstock, an image I stamped using the Stampin Up stamp set Lotus Bloom, a couple punches, a sentiment from Fun Stampers Journey, some Teresa Collins enamal dots and a die from My Favorite Things.

I now have a birthday card for my stash.  I plan on stamping some more of those flowers and making more cards for my stash.  And for an RAK.

It is missing something, but I haven't figured out what yet.  I might come back tomorrow with an updated version of this card.  I sometimes have to walk away and then when I go back I know what to do.  :-)

Thank you for stopping by to visit.  Tune in tomorrow for a Christmas card.  I know - now I am one of those 'crafters' that will be prepared ahead of time.  Maybe!

Have a great day and where ever you are  -  be there.

WOYWW 294 - Clean and Tidy

It is Wednesday which means it is the day of the week for the world's largest desk hop.  Jump on over to The Stamping Ground to check out some cool desks.

Here is my nice and tidy desk:

This is as clear as it gets.

Ditto on this side of the desk.

I moved my Ikea Alex drawers under one of my Ikea tables.  And I moved a small gray shelf in its place.  It gave me more shelf space, but isn't as deep as the drawers.

I had time to clean up.  Yay.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for more Anything Goes projects.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Anything Goes - Flower Power

Now you know how much I LOVE flowers. And Diane is sharing her beautiful flowers project with us today for this week's theme - anything goes.

Using this stamp set,

and some Tombow markers this is what Diane came up with:

Flowers always make me smile.

Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW where I join in the world's largest desk hop hosting by Julia at the Stamping Ground.

Anything Goes! It's a Week of Surprises

Friday night I came home to no internet.  I NEED my internet almost as much as I NEED electricity.  I called AT&T and the technician was very nice, but had to set up a service call.  I was going to be out of town at a card class on Saturday, but we set up the appointment anyway.  Long story short - the Saturday guy didn't fix anything.  The Monday Guy was AWESOME!!!!!  Then Saturday night our heat stopped working.  I must confess I knew there was an issue because sometimes the thermostat would say heat on, but there was no hot air coming out of the vent.  It was luke warm at best.  So I knew that one was coming.  Fortunately we have a gas fireplace in the basement and heat rises.  So the house was about the same temperature as normal, but we had to keep the gas fireplace on.  I've decided - I can live without heat, but not without the internet.  LOL  I do have my priorities.  The furnace guy came out and fixed my heating issue in about 10 minutes!  So I now have internet and heat!  Life is good.

And it's a special Monday.  It's Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday observed.  So Happy Birthday (actually on Thursday) to Martin Luther King Jr..  You made a true difference in this world.

So to start off the week Rita has provided us with some fun polar bear cards.  We made these in the class I went to on Saturday.  She has such a great imagination!

This is a slider card so the bear slides along the groove.  Adorable!!

Rita found an igloo cut file at the Silhouette store and used it to make this card.  The bear is colored with Copics on both cards.  The igloo has some copic highlights.

Such adorable cards.  I'm saving the Christmas one for Friday.  Rita has decided that we're going to make a Christmas card a month with the image she chooses - if possible.  That way December isn't quite so stressful.

The bear stamp is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  Doesn't get much cuter than that.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you've enjoyed today's cards.  Tune in tomorrow for some more Anything Goes!

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Love and Christmas

So yesterday's card with the sentiment stamped too high up was just not acceptable.  The more I thought about it the more I disliked it.  So it was either fix it or toss it.  I chose fix it.  :-)

So here is the messed up card:

That sentiment was driving me crazy.  So I made a few modifications and came up with this card:

I cut out the main part of the image with a circle punch.  I used the same ladybug background from Doodlebug called Love Bugs.  I cut mats out of black and red.  I stamped the Fun Stampers Journey sentiment, put it all together and came up with this card.

This is the same image, but colored with different colors.

I used more paper from Doodlebug.  The card base is from Fun Stampers Journey.

Now finally - here is this week's Christmas Card:

I'm really pleased with the way this card turned out.  I colored the image months ago.  Since it is an amaryllis it screamed Christmas.  I matted it and put it on a piece of paper from my favorite Christmas stack last year:

Well that is it for this week.  I hope you got some inspiration from this week's projects.

Tune in next week for the theme 'Anything Goes'.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Show Me the Love

This week's theme of love continues with a card that I made.  I like to make love cards instead of cards that say Happy Valentines Day so that I can use them throughout the year.

I used paper collection from Doodlebug called Love Bugs and a digi stamp that I'd colored and was waiting for a home.

The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey.  I should have used my Stamp-a-majig, but I didn't and the sentiment is a little higher than I would have liked.  But that is the beauty of handmade cards - right?  Right.

Tune in tomorrow for a Christmas card.  Yep - it's Christmas in January.  And every other Friday that I get around to making a Christmas card.  ;-)

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

WOYWW 293 - Back to the Old Grind

This is full week number 2 of the new year.  I wonder how many weeks I will be counting?  I know I'll lose interest in counting them soon.  And it's Wednesday which means I am going to take a picture of my desk and join the world's largest weekly desk hops at Julia's Blog.  Check it out if you're in need of some inspiration.

My desk is a mess which is typical.  I have a 4" x 4" space to work in - again typical.

I'm playing around with love cards and Christmas.  Yep Christmas.  I am supposed to make a Christmas card every Friday.

I have the hardest time figuring out where to put my sentiment.  Does anyone else struggle with that?

I am off to desk hop.  Thank you for stopping by.  Tune in tomorrow for some more Valentine's love.

Love, Love and More Love

Sherry has been at it again.  Today I'm going to share 2 love projects that Sherry created.

The first is a card using Paper Smooches products:

I love the yellow and black color combination.  It's not a normal color combo for a love card, but it's perfect for this stamp set.  Black and yellow is the new pink and red.  lol

And here is the second project Sherry created for this week's love theme:

Using Valentine's paper from Doodle Bug she created an adorable holder for hand sanitizer.  What a cute little gift.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  I know it's crazy to already be thinking about Valentine's Day, but it will be here before we know it.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

Have a great day.  Where ever you are - be there.

Show Me the Love

This week's theme is all about Love.  Today Sherry is showing us the love.

These are cute cards created using the Silhouette Cameo.

Aren't these love birds adorable?  What a great love card.  The item number for this cut in the Silhouette store is #25333.  I know I went out and got it when I saw these cards!

I hope you are inspired to make some love cards now.  Tune in tomorrow for another love project.

Have a great day.  Where ever you are - be there.

It's a Punny Day

Today I am using a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey in order to create a cute punny card.

I stamped the puppy in Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice ink.  I did a little highlighting with a gray marker from Tombow in order to make the image pop.  I cut out the image using a My Favorite Things stitched circle die.  The paper is from a 12 x 12 pad from Kaiser.

Here is the card I created:

I hope you enjoyed today's punny card.  If you want to get the stamp to make your own punny card, go to Fun Stampers Journey where you can order it.

Tune in tomorrow for a Christmas Card.  Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Have a great day and where ever you there - be there.
