It's Easter Week So Let's Celebrate

It is the week before Easter so I thought sharing Easter projects was in order.

I made some cards for a coworker.  I've made a similar card for another coworker, but I added a little birdie to these box cards:

The chick is from Stamps by Judith and Heather.  I used Tombow watercolor markers to color him in.  The pattern paper is by Doodlebug.

I have some projects to share that are not theme related, but I want to share them.

I worked on cards this weekend for a retirement and a co-worker's grandson.

I used the cut files that Diane used for another card to create this card.

This is a card for Darryl's grandson who loves to work with tools.

I didn't work much on theme projects this weekend.  And when I say - not much - I mean not really at all.

Happy Birthday with Flowers

HSN Craft Day is very dangerous for my pocketbook.  The last craft day I decided I needed the whole collection of Spectrum Noir markers by Crafter's Companion.  A couple weekends ago I used them to color several images.

I used this image for a birthday card for Dana:

The stamp is a NorthWoods stamp.  If you visit my blog at all you know I am a sucker for flowers.  I couldn't resist this beautiful stamp.  I am thrilled with the way it turned out.

Box Cards but Not Exactly This Week's Theme

I spent a lot of time on Sunday making cards, but none of them went along with this week's theme.  But since I'm in charge (this is the only thing I have any control over) I decided I was going to share my work.

Here is the first card I did for a shower I attended on Saturday.  You can find this in the Silhouette store design #56149.  It is by Lori Whitlock and is called a2 box card:  newborn baby

I used a paper pad with pastels to create this card.  I believe it's by Paper Studio.

Here is another card I made for someone at work - she needed an Easter card.  This is also a cut in the Silhouette Design Store and it is design #56147:

I used Easter paper from Doodlebug for this box card.  The sentiment is by Unity Stamps.

A Barrel of Monkeys and No Christmas Card

Anything Goes - It's a Baby Shower Card

This week is anything goes on the blog.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a baby shower.  We are in the process of fund raising for a Best Buddy's walk.  There are several of us who are doing the walk.  We even have t-shirts.  So I decided that I would gather up most of my cards that I would normally donate to OWH and take them into work to sell to raise money for our cause.

Since I am selling my cards at work, there have been requests for certain kinds of cards that people need for different occassions.  One was a baby shower card with the theme of Monsters, Inc.

So I broke out my Cricut Explore and put together this card:

WOYWW 301 - What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas

My work desk is in Las Vegas this week.  So obviously I'm not getting a lot done crafty wise while I'm here.  But that's okay.  I'm having fun losing my money instead.

Here is my work desk this week.  Not very exciting and not much light.

I brought my Sharpies - I am practicing coloring with them.  They are inexpensive and portable.  Here is what I colored on the plane.

I am still working on it.  It was hard to get a good picture.  I need to figure out what color to outline it in and color in the last flower.

Anything is Still Going

She used a cut file and her Silhouette to cut out the image.  And then her imagination ran away with her.  LOL  She made this card for my mother-in-law who had been hurt in a car accident.  She also used this image to make a retirement card.  The possibilities are endless.

It's Anything Goes

This week on the blog is a free for all.  I've asked my design team (my friends who make cards) to give me what they're working on and I'm sharing them.  Today is my turn.

I made this card for a friend's birthday.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color this digi print.  I like the way it turned out.  I made the mistake running it through the embossing machine after I put the enamel dots on the flowers.  Just a hint, don't do that - they break.  I speak from experience.

Flying Away with Butterflies....

Hi everyone.  It's a week of butterflies on the blog.  You can't go wrong with a butterfly.

Here are some projects featuring butterflies.

My inspiration for this group of cards comes from this post:  Laura Fadora's Blog.

I started out by water coloring full sheets of water color paper in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Violet.  Once they dried I used several punches in my stash and punched out a plethura of butterflies.  I ran a line of adhesive and place the butterflies in the order I wanted them.  Then I ran it through the sewing machine.
