More Anything Goes

Check it out on the new scrapbookingandcardmaking101.com website...

It's Anything Goes This Week

Housekeeping:  I am moving my blog to www.scrapbookingandcardmaking101.com.
This week's theme is anything goes.  It's gonna get all crazy up in here.  :-)
To start off the week I pulled out an image from Stamps by Judith and Heather.  I'd colored it a while back, but hadn't put it on a card.  I have a task on my to do list to make sympathy cards for my stash - so I decided to check that one off.
I colored the image with Tombow markers.  I stamped the rocks and grass on the original card and then stamped it again.  I fussy cut the additional stamped rocks and grass and put it on top of the original stamped rocks and grass to give the card a 3D look.  I stitched around the outer edge of the card with my sewing machine.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more anything goes.

Thankful - Flower Thank You Card

Housekeeping:  I am moving my blog to a new address.  Check it out and subscribe to the email feed for udpates:  Scrapbookingandcardmaking101.com
This week's blog theme is thankful.  Dee has been feeling extra crafty this week.  And I am thankful for that because my week has been crazy with being out of town last weekend.  Then on Monday I had 4 birthday cards to make for someone at work and 35 invitations to make for my daughter's baby shower.  Tuesday night I worked until midnight.  Wednesday I had to finish up the invitations for my daughter's shower.  So today - I am collapsing!  ;-)
Here is Dee's latest creation:
Card Recipe:
Image stamp from Dare 2B Artzy. Sentiment from Tim Holtz, Crazy Talk. Background colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush. Flower petals are lightly colored over with white Wink of Stella.

WOYWW 336 - CCRRRAAAAZZZZYYYYY

I want to take a moment to say thank you to our United States Veterans.  You have made living in freedom possible.  I am grateful for the sacrifices that you have made and will make in the future.  God bless every one of you.
It is Wednesday and if you're a regular - you know what that means!  I take a picture of my mess - uh - I mean my desk and I share it on Julia's Stamping Ground for all the world to see.  But what is even more fun is that I get to go snooping around my other peep's messes - uh - I mean desks.  :-)
Before I show you my desk I have a little housekeeping.  I am moving to a Wordpress blog from Blogger.  I am posting in both places right now, but that won't happen long.  :-)  To go to the new blog and get familiar go to www.scrapbookingandcardmaking101.com.

I am off to snoop.
Thank you for stopping by today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more thankful themed projects.
Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Thankful

I am in the process of converting over to a WordPress blog.  Check it out here:  www.scrapbookingandcardmaking101.com
The blog theme this week is 'thankful'.  I was out of town this weekend and did not get to do much crafting for this week's theme.  Fortunately Dee was thinking about me and made this adorable card.
We're thankful for our friends - at least I am.  I am also thankful for my furry friends.  They do not argue with me and they are always glad to see me.

Card Recipe:  Thankful
Image is Art Impressions (from Michaels) colored with Copics. Sentiment from
My Favorite Things Cat-itude. Card stock from stash.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

Glittery Christmas Fun

I have used this stamp several times already and intend to use it even more.  It is a poinsettia stamp from Stampendous with the matching dies.  The dies are great and cut right on the line of the stamped image.  I didn't use the dies for this project - I used glitter!

I heat embossed the flower on my cardstock.  I colored the image with Tombow markers (I know!  Right!)  I added Art Glitter in Christmas Red and Green and Yellow.  I then layered the colored image on red and green and added some green stitching with my sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in next week for a new theme.  I am going to be Atlanta to a Silhouette Conference this weekend.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

A Little Bit More Christmas

Dee has been in her craftroom working on a Christmas project.  She, like me, loves to make Christmas stuff.  :-)

Here is her cute little card:

Card Recipe:

'Owl I Want for Christmas'

Stamp and die set is from Lawn Fawn.  The images were colored with Copic markers and Wink Of Stella white pen.  The We R Memory Keepers Fust tool was used to make the shaker part of the card with snowflakes, trees and Christmas lights insid.  The little hearts were heat embossed.  Dee topped it off with Lawn Fawn gold sparkle hemp twine.

This is the inside of the card.

View with shaker material shaken.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more Christmas in November.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Creative Knockouts - Lace/Ribbon/Twine

This week's challenge on Creative Knockouts is to use lace, ribbon or twine.  The sponsor for the challenge is Sami Stamps.  Check out the site - she has some awesome digital stamps.

This is my creation for the design team for this challenge.

Card Recipe:

I used the Butterfly Flower Digi from Sami Stamps.  As is typical, I pulled it into the Silhouette Designer Studio software.  At that point I used Trace and Detach.  I think I lost some of my image when I did that, but I do still like the way it looks.  I used my Zig Clean Brush markers to color the image.  I added some Art Glitter to the flower and the butterfly to give them some sparkle.  I used a new 'wonky die' from My Favorite Things which is part of their November 2015 release.  I added a 'hugs' sentiment from Paper Smooches.  The twine is from Fun Stampers Journey.

Go check out the challenge and enter one of your creations.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some Christmas in November.

Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 335 - Almost Clean

Well, it's Wednesday and if you're a regular follower of my blog you know that means that I take a picture of my desk and share it on The Stamping Ground.  But what is more fun than that - hard to believe I know - is that there are other links to desks from around the world.  It is a craft mojo festival.

Here is my desk this week.  I've actually wrapped up some projects - so you can actually see the top!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more Christmas projects.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Not So Traditional Christmas Colors

This week we're celebrating Christmas.  I took a class last week where I learned to use glitter.  Previously because I donated my cards to Operation Write Home, I didn't use glitter at all.  Now that Operation Write Home is no longer accepting cards, I can delve into the world of glitter.

I used a Northwoods stamp and Tombow markers to stamp and color the image.  Then I added Art Glitter.

As you can see I made this a shaker card.  Well maybe you can't, but I did.  My shaker material is sticking together  -  :-(  But I can just leave it in the corner and I like the way it looks.  I used the yellow on the front to bring out the yellow glitter on the church windows.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

Have a great day and be inspired.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Everywhere you go there will now be Christmas decorations.  I will be surfing my satellite radio for the Christmas music 24/7.  I LOVE Christmas.  So in honor of the upcoming holiday - this week's theme is Christmas.

Jenny is going to start us off.

Card Recipe:

This beauty was made using a 1 1/4 inch square punch.  Then the squares were cut into triangles.  After she cut the squares she used a circle embossing folder to add a little dimension.  It looks like a beautiful handmade quilt.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for another Christmas project.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.
