It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is anything goes.  Our sponsor is Doctor Digi and if you enter you have the chance to win 2 images from the shop.

I used digi stamp CatFlap Florence to create my card.

This funny kitty CatFlap Florence is from Dr. Digis.  I colored the image with Copic markers and added wood grain to the flap using a black pen.  I added some more lines around the flap to simulate a door.  The flowers are part of the wall paper on the wall.  It's not realistic, but is fun and whimsical.

Love/Valentine's Challenge at Creative Knockouts Challenge

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is to create a Love or Valentine's card.  Our sponsor is Laurie Furnell Ink and if you enter you have the chance to win 2 images from the shop.

I used digi stamp Valentine Gnome to create my card.

Love/Valentine's Card Recipe

This adorable gnome is from Laurie Furnell Ink and just screams hearts.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  I found the inky background in my stash and stamped hearts around the gnome.   I cut out the gnome with my Brother Scan-n-Cut and popped him up of foam tape for some dimension.  The 'with love' stamp is from a sentiment stamp set I have and of course now I can't remember the designer.

Spring/Easter Cards 4 Kids Challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Spring/Easter Cards 4 Kids or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Send a Smile 4 Kids charity is dedicated to collecting and distributing handmade cards to children who are inpatient at Children's Hospitals.  Please send us your handmade kids' cards for holidays, birthdays, and everyday cheer.  Help us put a smile on our kids' faces.

Spring/Easter 4 Kids Card Recipe

When I think of spring, I think of flowers and calla lilies are one of my favorites.  I ran across this stamp in my collection and thought it was perfect for a spring/Easter card.  I actually ran across 2 of them because I had evidently purchased this stamp from Stamplorations twice.  LOL. I stamped the image using Catherine Pooler black ink.  I didn't think I was going to like the black CP ink at first as it is very black.  But as I have used it more, I have changed my mind.  The black is very black and you can use it for everything including Copic Markers.  I highlighted the shadows in C1 and then colored the stems and leaves in various greens.  The smile sentiment came with the stamp set.  I was going to use splatter again because the background was just a little too stark for me, but I refrained.  Don't get me wrong, it would have looked great with some splatter, but I didn't want to overdo the splatter thing.   It will probably be on next month's card though.  I added some yellow enamel dots and matted the front in yellow to pull in the color from the cala lilies.  I left a lot of white space to keep this card clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Consider entering our challenge and donating your hand made cards to our great charity.

Here are some affiliate links to the products I used.  It doesn't cost you a thing, but I get a small commission which helps me purchase my crafting supplies.
