Spring/Easter 4 Kids Card Recipe
When I think of spring, I think of flowers and calla lilies are one of my favorites. I ran across this stamp in my collection and thought it was perfect for a spring/Easter card. I actually ran across 2 of them because I had evidently purchased this stamp from Stamplorations twice. LOL. I stamped the image using Catherine Pooler black ink. I didn't think I was going to like the black CP ink at first as it is very black. But as I have used it more, I have changed my mind. The black is very black and you can use it for everything including Copic Markers. I highlighted the shadows in C1 and then colored the stems and leaves in various greens. The smile sentiment came with the stamp set. I was going to use splatter again because the background was just a little too stark for me, but I refrained. Don't get me wrong, it would have looked great with some splatter, but I didn't want to overdo the splatter thing. It will probably be on next month's card though. I added some yellow enamel dots and matted the front in yellow to pull in the color from the cala lilies. I left a lot of white space to keep this card clean and simple.
