A Pet's Life...

This week's theme is A Pet's Life.  Jenny used her brand new stamp and die sets from Our Daily Bread that is perfect for this week's theme.

Jenny was so inspired by this week's theme and her new stamp - she made two cards to share.

The patterned paper is from Authentique.  The puppies were colored using Copic Markers.

Jenny has gotten us off to a great start.  Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more pet inspired projects.

Stinkin Cute Forest Friend

Jenny finally had some free time in her busy schedule.  She created a stinkin cute card for this week's theme of forest friends.

Here is Jenny's card:

The stamp is from Stacy.  This little stinker was colored with Copic markers and the center of the flowers were covered in Stickles.  The yellow cardstock was punched using a Martha Stewart punch.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in next week for a new theme.

Forest Friends - Not So Furry, but Feathery

Dee has been busy in her craft room again.  She created this card for this week's theme with some feathery forest creatures.

'Friends' It's Owl Good

Tree background is a Sizzix embossing folder by Tim Holtz, lightly sanded and inked.  Owl images punched out using a punch from Paper Studio.  The owls are colored with Zig Clean Brush Markers (Dee's favorite, too) and then they were flocked.  The white one is a snowy owl and the brown one is a barn owl.  Googly eyes added.  Branch is Sizzix die with leaves added that were punched using a punch by Paper Studio.  The Friends sentiment is from Sizzix by Tim Holtz.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for another forest creature card.

My Design Team Card for Creative Knockouts

I am deviating from my theme this week to share my design team card for this week for the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.

I used an image from The Paper Shelter called She's Charming.  I used the image that is already colored.  I pulled it into my Silhouette Studio - Designer Edition.  I traced it and put registration marks on it.  I cut out multiple images and then layered the pieces of the dress on top of the original image.  I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  And even though you can't really see it - I used Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to highlight the polka dots on her dress.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for another fall project.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

WOYWW 329 - A Big Fat Mess

I have been working on several projects and my craft room shows it.  It is a mess on one side, but not so bad on the other.  It is Wednesday which means I need to take a picture of my desk and share it with Julia at the Stamping Ground.  Check it out - it's the world's largest desk hop.

Here is the mess:

Well that is my desk this week.  Now I am off to snoop around everyone elses desk.

Some More Furry Critters

This week's theme is Furry Forest Friends.  This is the post where I take the forest part of theme to the edge.  My two cards feature furry critters and I suppose they are found in the forest.  They can also be found in your garage and sometimes in your house.  LOL

Here are my cards featuring My Favorite Things and (I know you're sick of hearing it) Zig Clean Brush Markers.

All I did was mat the white cardstock with Cranberry cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I popped up the mouse with foam tape and stamped the sentiment.

I used a Darice embossing folder for the kraft cardstock background.  I popped up the mouse with foam tape and stamped the sentiment on the die cut stitched piece.

I kept the cards pretty simple to let the images be the focus.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

All About Our Furry Forest Friends

This week's theme is going to be Furry Forest Friends.  I may push the envelope on the forest part of this theme.  :-)   But what is new?

I used two Hero Arts sets to create these cards.  I have more little critters, but wasn't inspired on a layout for the rest.  Never fear - I will figure it out.

I used my ( yeah you know what's comin) Zig Clean Brush Markers to color the little critters.  I used a die from My Favorite Things to cut the stitched hole in the patterned cardstock.  I used enamel dots to add a little embellishment to the cards.  The patterned paper is from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more furry forest critters.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Pick of the Patch

Dee has been busy in her craft room again and created this cute card to wrap up the fall theme for this week.

The Recipe:

Fall 'Pick of the Patch'

Window with Awning and English Brick Wall background are from My Favorite Things.  The kitty on the pumpkin is a stamp from my stash.  I used Zig Clean Brush Markers to color the images.  The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.  Spooky Puns, placed on a WeRMemory Keepers die and made into the sign.  A Fiskars punch was used to make the grass which was lightly sanded.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  That wraps up the 'fall' theme this week.  Tune in next week for a new theme.

Send a Smile 4 Kids - Fall Colors for Kids Challenge

Since one of my card entries to the Send a Smile 4 Kid's challenge blog was chosen by the design team, I get to be a guest designer on the blog.  Yay!

This week's challenge is Fall Colors for Kids.  The sponsors and prizes are Lacy Sunshine (3 digis), Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet ($10 gift certificate) and Inspired by Stamping ($20 gift certificate).

Here is my card using a digi image by Lacy Sunshine:

I brought the digi image into my Silhouette Designer software and used the print and cut feature to print and cut her out.  I used (wait for it) my Zig Clean Brush markers to color the image.  The blue background is Ken Oliver Colorburst.  The green was sponged on with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Mowed Lawn.

Check out the Send a Smile 4 a Kid Challenge Blog and enter a card.  Or better yet - send some cards to the Send a Smile 4 Kids charity.  Send a smile to a sick child today.

'Fall'ing Leaves

It is Fall this week on the blog.  I used my fall leaves stamp on this card.  Fall and winter are my favorite seasons.  I love the cool weather, the clothes, the shoes and anything else fall.  That makes this week's  theme lots of fun for me.

Here is my card:

I used a fall set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I used Versamark ink to stamp the leaves and used Fun Stampers Journey gold embossing powder to emboss the leaves.  I added color using Ken Oliver's Colorburst powders with water and gold sequins from Doodlebug.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for my guest design post for Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Open the Door - It's Fall

Dee has been at it in her craft room again.  Check out her fun fall card.

The picture below with the card shows the wreath before it was twisted and manipulated.

The Recipe
'Hello' Fall

Edwardian door and background dies from Spellbinders.  Banner die is from Cricut.  Wreath die is called 'Whirl Wreath' from Penny Black.  The wreath was twisted and manipulated into the smaller more natural looking wreath on the front of the door.  A tiny bow and leaves were strategically placed throughout the wreath.

WOYWW 328 - A Total Mess!

I am still trying to recover from vacation and my desk shows it.  I will give myself props though.  This weekend I cleaned the house on Saturday and caught up on wash.  I also did some coloring.  On Sunday I finished what I started on my staycation in July - cleaned out the basement.  There are still items in the basement that I need to go through, but the progress made on Sunday was awesome!

But on to WOYWW.  I've taken a picture of my messy desk and I am going to share it on Julia's blog.  I won't be able to desk hop much until this weekend, because I have dinner plans on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Those who are faint of heart should look away:

I don't know if it is officially fall or not, but this week's theme is all about fall.  It can be fall the season, fall like fall down - what ever idea the word fall brings to the design team's minds.  :-)

Sherry is going to start us off with an adorable Halloween Wreath with materials provided by Stampin Up.

Now how cute is that wreath?  I would love to hang that on my door.

Last Minute Butterflies......

Dee has had a CRAZY week, but still managed to make a beautiful butterfly card for this week's theme.  Check it out:

The Recipe:

"Butterflies"
Background is a die cut from Spellbinders. I cut it using watercolor paper and colored with Zig clean brushes. Then took white Perfect Pearls spritzed with water and brushed over entire diecut, wiped some of it back until satisfied with finish. Cut a second die cutting only Butterfly and popping it over die. Cut some flowers using Sizzix by Lori Whitlock, Simple Flowers and placed them over flower parts of the die. Added a few Martha Stewart butterfly stickers. A weRMemory Keepers banner die with a Little Yellow Bicycle sentiment die cut "hello"
Entire die was popped on card stock by Bo Bunny from Jenny of SBN.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you got some butterfly inspiration this week.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey where ever it may take you.

A Butterfly

As I have been boasting - I am on a design team for the challenge - Creative Knockouts.  I thought I would share my first design team card, but it doesn't have any butterflies.  :-(  So I am going to share that card and another card with the same digi image and a butterfly.

The image is a digi from A Day for Daisies called Flowers in Bottles.  I printed the image using my Design Edition Software from Silhouette by adding registration marks.  I also outlined the image so that after I colored it I could cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  It beats fussy cutting, but you get the same effect.

To color the images I used my (wait for it) Zig Clean Brush Markers.

Here is the card that is on the challenge blog.  This one is watercolor:

This is using the same image without the water.  And I added a butterfly.  :-)

The little bitty butterfly is from Hero Arts.  It is a stamp and die set.  The butterfly is two different stamps - the outline and the inside - very cool.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in next week for a 'fall' theme.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

WOYWW 327 - Back at It

I am back to the real world.  Last week I was a lady of leisure enjoying tourist attractions in Florida.  But I am back and it is once again Wednesday which means that I need to take a picture of my desk and share it on Julia's Stamping Ground.

Here is my desk.  I've been working on my first design team card.  Did I tell you I made a design team?!!!  I am so excited.  It is a challenge blog - check it out - Creative Knockouts Blog.  My first card will be on the blog on September 10th.

It's Butterflies All Week Long

Diane came up with this week's theme and I cannot think of a better theme than butterflies.  Butterflies and flowers are my favorites.  And I am currently obsessed with watercolor.  Nothing goes together better than butterflies and watercolor.  Except for maybe flowers and watercolor.

This is a butterfly from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Flutter By.  I used gold embossing powder from Fun Stampers Journey to create the stamped butterflies.  I used my (I know you're gonna be shocked!)  Zig Clean Brush markers to color the images.  I topped off the card with splatter using Gold Silk from Fun Stampers Journey and gold sequins from Doodlebug.  The cardstock that frames the card front is from Stampin Up in the color of Strawberry Slush.

I've entered the above card in the NBUS challenge.  My 'never before used schtuff' is the Flutterby stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

This is a glimpse of another card front that I am working on.  The stamp is from the same Lawn Fawn stamp set, same embossing powder, same Gold Silk and of course the same Zig Clean Brush markers.

Ditto on this card front.  I am still working on it, but will share it when it is complete.  Same Flutter By stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  Same markers and embossing powder were used on all three cards.

I still have some more butterflies up my sleeve.  But don't worry, they are okay.  My sleeves are very loose.  ;-)

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for WOYWW.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Anything Goes - Dee Saves the Day

I didn't think we were going to have a post for today, but Dee pulled an almost all nighter to inspire us with this adorable card.

Card Recipe

" hang In there"
Kitty image is AI (Art Impressions) front and back stamped, colored with Zig Clean color real brushes, cut out by hand, then put on string (pice of twine) and strung across the center of a Spellbinders circle die cut out. Sentiment is an alphabet set, stamped free hand on a WeRmemory Keepers Banner die, inked around edges.
Inside card: back of Kitty image in motion.
This is my "use what I've got" version of a Spinner card. I hung image horizontal across the circle instead of vertical. It spins pretty good. I tried to take a pic of it spinning but unlike action wobbles, it doesn't spin long enough.

Thank you again for stopping by the blog.  This really does wrap up anything goes.  I bet you and my design team would love to know what next week's theme is.  I wish I could tell you.  It's a secret.  Shhhh  ;-)

Have a great day.  Be inspired.  Enjoy the journey.  And have a great Labor Day weekend.
