Cala Lillies and Watercolor Markers

I needed to create a sympathy card for a friend at work and I thought Cala Lillies would be perfect.  I had a stamp from Stamplorations that I hadn't used yet so I pulled it out.

Here is the card:

Check out my video showing you step by step how I did it.  I used Tombow markers for this card, but you can use any watercolor markers or pencils.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.

I have started a youtube series that I call My Craft Room To Do List.  I have so many things on my list that I need to get done and I thought I would take you along with me as I tackle these tasks.

I like multiple types of crafting so you may not be interested in some.  If you are a card maker - then you might enjoy today's card where I color a digital image with Copic Markers.

The digi image is from justME digital stamps and you can join the TIC TAC TOE challenge on the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Thank You Cards or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Thank You Cards 4 Kids Recipe

I found this background stamp in my stash and decided it must be used.  It was a little more coloring than I wanted to do, but I think the black and white is just beautiful.  I added a sentiment die cut that I cut out 3 times and layered one on top of the other.  Enamel dots from Doodlebug added some more color.  The mat in the background pulls the focus to the sentiment too.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Consider entering our challenge and donating your hand made cards to our great charity.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.

My Crafty To Do List - Toddler T-shirt Dress Tutorial

I don't know about you all, but I have this uber long crafty to do list that I keep adding to and I need to start actually checking some items off my list.  I buy the supplies ( I am actually a craft supply collector), but I procrastinate and never actually work on the project.  I have decided that I am going to work through my list and share my experiences as I check off those crafty items one by one.

I am not perfecting my process but instead I am videoing my crafting process - raw.  LOL

I decided that the first item I am going to tackle is making a toddler t-shirt dress for my granddaughter.

Here is the youtube video with the tutorial:

I hope you enjoy my crafting journey with me.  I feel really good about finally making the t-shirt dress for Kylie.  It is not perfect, but it is done.  I look forward to checking more items off my list.

Stay tuned for the next crafting video - a quick birthday card for a co-worker.  I always craft better under pressure.  ;-)

Have a great day and enjoy the journey and some chocolate.

This cage was printed out on card stock.  I colored the image with Zig markers and added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.  I used some clear Nuvo drops to add centers and dew drops.  Since I have been storing my Nuvo drops upside down - I don't have near the issue with hershey kiss looking dots.

Embossing Delight Challenge at Creative Knockouts

It is Thursday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is Friendship.  Our wonderful sponsor is Crafty Sentiments and if you enter you have the chance to win a $10 gift certificate.

I used the image Emmi Loo a Poppy for You to create my card.

Embossing Delight Card Recipe

So I always wait until the last minute to make my design team cards.  Ask Karen and Kelley - they will tell you.  I don't procrastinate - I just work better under pressure.  wink wink.  So I was working on my card - dry embossed the background and used wet embossing on the sentiment.  I had this cute little image of a puppy that was already colored as the main image on my card.  Then I went to add it to the design team blogger page.  CRAP!  I used the wrong image.  I work better under pressure remember?  So I printed out the right image and put it right on top of that cute puppy.  And that is the reason she isn't colored.  I think she still looks good though - don't you?

Cards for Dad at Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge

It's the 1st Saturday of the month and that means it is time for another challenge at the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.  The theme for this challenge is Cards 4 Dad or Anything Goes 4 Kids.  This challenge no longer has sponsors so you will be participating for pride not prize.

Cards 4 Dad Card Recipe

This card could be used for any guy including Dad.  The star die cut was in my stash so I pulled some yellow card stock to coordinate and a stamp set and die cuts from My Favorite Things.  I stamped the sentiment on the yellow card stock.  I popped the stars up on thick foam tape.  The little stars are part of the my Favorite Things die set.  I matted the yellow with more blue and there you go.

I used the image Rosie with a Flower to create my card.

Friendship Card Recipe

I printed out this cute digi image Rosie with a Flower.  It actually comes pre colored with 3 different options for the flower - purple, pink and yellow.  I die cut the image using wonky circle stitched dies from My Favorite Things.  I die cut black card stock to offset the image.  I did the same with the sentiment from Hero Arts, but with the wonky stitched rectangle.  The sentiment is popped up on foam tape and I added purple enamel dots for interest.
