God on the Side of the Road Sunday

This is what I spotted in the field across the street from my house when the girls and I went for our walk one day last week.  I was hoping they would stay still, but the deer around our house are not adapted to humans.  They run and they run like the wind!  I love watching them though.

This is a morning glory that I happened to spy while taking the picture of the mushroom below.  It just amazes me that this is a volnteer.  The colors are gorgeous!

And here is the fungi - I didn't clean it off before I took the picture.

That is my share for the day.  I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.  The work week will be here before we know.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Revelation 21:4-5  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist anymore - or mourning, or crying or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.  And the one seated on the throne said: 'Look!  I am making all things new!'  Then he said to me, 'Write it down, because these words are reliable and true.'

Stalking Stamping with Klass

Here is another one of my haunts - Stamping with Klass.

She makes beautiful cards and share the instructions on how she did it.

Pay her a visit and you will be glad you did.

If you have any extra cards that you would like to donate - visit www.operationwritehome.org.  You can send your hand made cards to OWH and those cards will be sent to our service men and women serving away from home.  These cards allow them to stay in touch with their loved ones while they are away with beautiful hand made cards.  And you can send Anyhero mail for those serving to let them know we haven't forgotten them.

Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 225 - I've Been Hoarding -ER- I mean Collecting

It is once again Wednesday.  It feels like it was just last Wednesday.  Between work and a cold I have not spent much time in my craft room in the last week.  And I really needed to be in there - I am behind!  But aren't we all.  Enough of my whining - hop on over to Julia's to check out the work desks of the world.  I am not exaggerating.

Here is my humble little desk.  Although I haven't been creating, I have been purchasing.  I work part time at a crafting store in addition to my real job.  Someone has to make sure they stay in business!  LOL

Here is my work desk with my new stamps, embossing folder, washi tape and paper.

My daughter loves Despicable Me and her birthday was on Sunday.  So, I made her a minion card.  Since I had to cut out a minion on my Cameo - I cut out six of each.  So I have a box of minions waiting to be put on cards.

And of course - no WOYWW is complete without a picture of one of my zoo.  Peanut says hello.

I'm off to visit some desks.  Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 224 - Totally Redone

It is once again Wednesday and that means it is time to head over to Julia's - The Stamping Ground and check out everyone's work space.  I wasn't able to participate last Wednesday because I was in the middle of a redo.  I've totally rearranged my room.  Enjoy.

Livin on the Land in Epcot

Another layout using Kiwi Lane templates.  If you like them go check out the Kiwilane website.  I included the dark picture with my husband and my daughter because there was a quote in the background from a child from Kentucky.  And we're from Kentucky!  I used the Disney font with my Cameo for the title.  I also used my Cameo to cute out the Eiffel Tower.  I don't remember seeing the Eiffel Tower while meandering through The World in Epcot, but I see it in the background of our picture.  :-)

Have a great day and be inspired.

Spaceship Earth and Disney Continues

I'm still finishing up Disney.  Epcot is my favorite park tied with Animal Kingdom.  However, Epcot wins because it has been around longer than Animal Kingdom.  I used paper from a paper pack I purchased at Archiver's for $1.99.  This paper pack has all the Disney colors and had I been thinking I would have purchased 2.  I used a sketch from a sketch book I have.  I used the Cameo to cut out Spaceship Earth.  I cut out the wording using the Cameo and a font called Walt - I believe.  The butterflies were cut out using a stencil and I used twine to make the antannae.

Have a great day and be inspired.

God on the Side of the Road - A Thank You Prayer

I found this prayer at  Paper Phenomenon.

Have a great day and be inspired.
For God a thankful Prayer.  A thankful prayer just because...thank you God for being always next to us.  Today is a special day.  Today I feel connected to my source.  Today I feel that I am a step closer to what I should and will become.  No need to ask for favors, for I know everything comes when the the timing is perfect.  Today, let us thank God together.  Thank you God for giving me another day, another chance to become a better individual, another chance to give and experience love.  Thank you God for giving me health, for the food you provide, for the awareness you have awaken in me.  Thank you for the energy that feeds my soul, the sun that warms our bodies and the air that fills our lungs.  Because of you I believe in the good without the bad and the ugly.  Because of you, I am learning to love and accept myself.  Because of you I believe in believing.  My source, stay connected to me today and always for I need you in order to fulfill my spiritual tasks.  God, show me how to love myself and to be able to love others.  Help me become the type of person that I would like to befriend.  Help me forgive myself and others.  God, make me a channel of your energy and help me understand.  I thank you God for giving me another day and another unused opportunity to do it right  Keep us all close to you and listen to our prayers.  Amen.

Here are some pictures taken during my morning walk:

Washi Tape and Disney

I am still in Animal Kingdom.  I used a sketch (I will try to start including the sketch if I use one) to come up with this page.  I just love washi tape, but I sometimes find it difficult to incorporate it in my pages.  This was a no brainer.

Have a great day and be inspired.

God on the Side of the Road - A Sunday Series

Monday through Friday my dogs and I take a walk on our one lane road road and I am always amazed at the pretty little flowers I find on the side of the road.  God's little creations there for me to enjoy.  I am dedicating my Sunday post to sharing those iPhone pictures with my blog readers.

Take some time to notice the beauty that surrounds you.  It will make you feel good.

OWH VCMP - WOW!

In my line of work we use lots of acronyms.  Evidently acronyms have taken over the world!  :-)
I attempted some of the challenges for the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party.  Here are the two cards that made the cut.  I used my small camera to take these pictures and my lighting was pretty poor so I apologize for the dark pictures.

For the first challenge we were supposed to use inchies to create a winter or Christmas themed card.  It took me a good 2 hours to get this design the way I wanted.  And this was the second card.  I'm too embarrassed to show you the first card:
Although I did not follow the sketch exactly, I started with it.  I used a stamp set from Stampin Up and the die set that works with the stamps.  I used a hole punch after I stamped the ornaments on patterned paper and strung them on gold ribbon.  I used foam tape to pop some of the ornaments up and just adhered the background ornaments to the solid card stock.  I used another Stampin Up die to cut the fancy bottom.  I used the same patterned paper for the card as I did for the ornaments.  The Merry Christmas stamp is one that I've used for years.

The second card I made was the triple stamping card using a die cutting machine.

When I started it, I instantly thought Silhouette - it will be easy!  Well of course it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.  It isn't technically triple stamped either.  It seems I'm missing a couple matts and a layer of patterned paper.  Oh well - I tried.  :-)  I think it turned out okay.  I used a rectangular nesting frame from the silhouetteamerica store.

These cards will be going to Operation Write Home for our service men and women to use to keep in touch with their family and friends that are at home while they are away.  If you are interested in contributing cards or anyhero mail/letters - stop by the website.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Blog Stalking Friday - Brandy's Cards

It is Friday and that means that I am sharing one of those bloggers who regularly inspires me.

Brandy of Brandy's Cards has some really cute ideas for cards using Stampin Up products.  I regularly CASE her cards, but sometimes use other company's products.  She does videos, too, which of course I love.  I am a picture person so I very much enjoy stalking someone who does videos for me to watch.

I hope you all will check out her blog and her videos.

Be inspired and have a great day.

X's and O's

I used an old Hero Arts doily stamp along with a Spellbinder Dies for the scallop circles.  I also used a brad from Reflections for the center of the flower that had the coordinating colors.  As usual, I am CASing another card maker.  You can go to Brandy's Cards to see where I got the idea for this card.  And check out her other cards, too.

This card will be going to Operation Write Home.  This organization sends hand made cards to our troops serving away from home.  The service people in turn can send these cards home to their loved ones to stay in touch.  I will also send some any hero cards to let our service people know that I appreciate the sacrifices they are making in order to keep me safe.  Whether you agree with why our troops are where they are or not - we should always support the actual men and women who are doing the work they have been assigned.  I thank the good Lord every day there is someone who is willing to protect us.

Have a great day and be inspired.

The Wildlife of the Tree of Life - Viewmaster Style

It always amazes me the craftsmanship that went into the concrete that makes of the trunk and roots of the Tree of Life in Disney's Animal Kingdom.  My husband is a Journeyman Ironworker so he knows what went into forming the trunk and roots.  He doesn't finish concrete though.  I told him he should learn how to do this stuff.  LOL  So while we were there I took lots of pictures of the different animals and bugs that were carved into the trunk and roots of the tree.  I printed them in a smaller format and used a viewmaster cut out from the Silhouette store to display some of these shots.  I also got the tree and film strip from the Sihouette store.  The background paper is some more of the animal print that I've used throughout the Animal Kingdom portion of my Disney vacation album.  I will figure out the brand some day.

I also tried to pull in some of Walt Disney's quotes for my album.  I hope this inspires a layout for you.

Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 222 - Scrappy Dappy Doooooooooo

It is once again Wednesday.  Where does the time go?  But I digress.  Wednesday means it is time to share your workspace with others at Julia's Blog where you can get a peek at work desks around the world.

My workspace is dedicated to scrapbooking at the moment.  I'm focusing on our Washington D.C. trip at the time.  So there is lots of red, white and blue.

Last week I was under the weather from Wednesday through Sunday so I wasn't doing any blog spying.  You know I didn't feel good if I wasn't even online!  But this week I hope to change that.  Although Wednesday is doggie grooming night so it will be Thursday before I am able to go snooping.  :-)  Enough jabbering on about me - go check out those blogs.  The ideas are endless!

Have a great day and be inspired.

A Big Splat!

I started with my Hero Arts shadow inks in Pale Tomato, Field Green, Passion Flower, Corn Flower and Soft Granite.  The Hero Arts stamp sets I used are Stamp Your Story Brushstrokes and the circle stamp from the 4X6 clear set 'Wish Big'.  I used the ROYGBIV philosophy in placing my colors.  Can anybody tell me exactly what color is indigo?  Red, Orance, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet.  This was based on a tutorial that Hero Arts had on Youtube:

This card will be heading to Operation Write Home where is will be sent to the troops serving away from family and friends.  This will enable them to send handmade cards to their loved ones and stay in contact while they are away from home.  If you're interested in making some cards for this cause or want to contribute by writing encouraging letters to our troops letting them know you appreciate their sacrifice, check out the website.

I hope you have a great day and be inspired.

God on the side of the road - Sunday Post

I see the most beautiful flowers on the side of the road during my daily walks.  It always amazes me that these flowers grow and thrive even though no one tends to them, no one waters them and the state's mowers try to cut them down.  I'm going to start posting some of my daily walk flower pictures on Sundays.  It seems appropriate since the good Lord is the reason these flowers are so beautiful.

Have a great day and be inspired.
