Tags for Christmas!!!! Yes - Christmas!!!!

I try to create my posts for the whole week on Sunday.  I do most of my crafting on Saturday and Sunday because let's face it - once I sit down on the weekdays - I'm not gettin back up.  My point is  - the likelihood of a Christmas card isn't good, but we have tags!

Thank you Diane for the Christmas tags.

They are adorable aren't they?

And thank you Anastasia!  A Christmas card!  Yay!  And not just one, but 4!  The paper is from a paper pack from The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in next week for a new theme - butterflies.

Have a great day and where ever you are be there.

Let's Play Tag!

It is still a week of tags.  I like making tags for presents, but I also like using the 'tag' to spruce up a scrapbook page or card.

I made this card for a friend who made me a beautiful wooden box to hold my finished cards.

Here is a project using a tag on a card:

I cut out the bear tag with my Cricut Explore.  The paper is from Simple Stories.  The googly eyes are from Joanns.  The sentiment is from a Cardztv set.

Here are some Christmas tags from Anastasia:

Thanks for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for Christmas tags.  I know - it's not a Christmas card, but it's Christmas related.  lol

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

WOYWW 299 - Migrating

Today is Wednesday and that means it is time to take a picture of my desk and link it up to The Stamping Ground.  But what is more fun is to visit other desks.

Because of the weather a crop I was scheduled to attend on Saturday was rescheduled.  I decided to have my own crop at home.  So I set up a table in what used to be my office when I worked from home.  I carried down the bag that I would have taken with me to the crop.  And then I carried down some more paper.  And then I carried down my Cricut Explore.  And then I carried down one of my tool caddies.

Suffice it to say - I invaded more space.

I like being downstairs where all the action is.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more tag projects.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Tags - You're It!

I got some scrapbooking done this past weekend.  I was supposed to go to a crop on Saturday, but it was rescheduled due to inclement weather.  The same reason it took so long for my amazon.com order to be delivered.  We've been dealing with inclement weather all week.  So I took advantage of it and didn't leave the house this weekend.

Here is a two page layout that I completed.  And I used a tag!  So it fits in with the blog theme for this week.  I cut the tag out using my Explore and inked the edges.  I used it for journaling.

I used a collection from Bo Bunny to create the layout;  as well as, templates from Kiwi Lane.  The snowflakes were cut out using my Cricut Explore.

Tag! Yep - it's a week of tags

This week the theme is tags.  I usually only make tags for gifts, but this week I am expanding my tag making to include scrapbooking and cards.  Hopefully one of my design team will make a tag or two.

But in the meantime I've made a tag using my Cricut Explore.  Then I took my Die Hard stamp and die set from Stamps of Life called Kitty 2 Stamp.  I stamped the kitty and die cut the kitty.  I used more stamps from the set to make a background on the tag.  I embossed it with clear embossing powder and then inked it up with Tim Holtz Black Soot ink.  I used red ribbon through the hole in the tag.  I found a pattern paper in a stack from Die Cuts with a View called the Pet Stack.  I matted that in black.  I placed the tag on the pattern paper and pop dotted the kitty up on the tag.  The sentiment comes from the Stamps of Life set, too.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for more tag projects.

Have a great day and be where ever you are - be there.

Wrapping Up Embossing - Christmas Card - What Christmas Card?

Sherry has been at it with her Silhouette again.  She's created some adorable cards and used embossing to embellish her cute little puppies.

I just cannot get motivated to create a Christmas card.  But don't give up on me yet.  I still have 10 months!  LOL

Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope you got some embossing ideas.  Tune in next week for tags.  Maybe I will be inspired to create a Christmas tag, but don't hold your breath.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

Dry Embossing, Wet Embossing, It's All About Embossing

I embossed multiple ways on one card.  And watercolored and embossed on another card.

The first card was something I had pictured in my mind.  Of course the final product isn't exactly how I pictured it, but I like it.

I first used my Silhoutte Cameo to cut a 'viewmaster slide' stencil.  To create a stencil I use flexible cutting boards that I get from the Dollar Tree.  It took me a few tries to get it cut out.  I think I need a deep cut blade.  I don't know if I can get one of those for my silhouette.

I used the stencil that I created and did some watercoloring with it.  I then stamped the sentiment in the middle of a circle that I punched out.  I used Versamark ink and embossed it with black embossing powder.  I used a button brad to attach the sentiment to the card.

This next card has dry embossing and wet embossing:

The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder.  The background is dry embossed with a Teresa Collins embossing folder.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for some more embossing.  I'm not even going to mention the Christmas card.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

WOYWW 298 - Still Messy, but Creative

It's Wednesday again and that means that I need to take a picture of my desk and link it on Julia's Stamping Ground.  But what is more fun than that is going to visit everyone's desks.

Here is what my desk looks like:

And this is the view in my back yard.  This is why I don't like screens - but I think you get the idea.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for some more embossing.

Happy Presidents Day and It's all about embossing this week

I am on a watercolor kick.  My Mom bought me the watercolors that I wanted for Christmas.  I've been playing around with them.  And playing around includes stamping an image with Versamark ink and embossing it with black embossing powder.  Then I paint it with watercolors.

Here is one of my first attempts:

I still need some practice, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out.  I used a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey for the base.  The watercolors are Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 Color Set Japanese Traditional Solid Water Colours for Professional Artists and Crafters.  They are on Amazon.com.  I am not an artist, but I do like these watercolors.  They are nice and creamy.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for some more embossing projects.

A Valentine's Box Card

Since this week's theme is embossing and the Valentine box card I made for my husband has no embossing and I usually don't post on Sunday - I am sharing this card today.  Shew!  That was a mouthful.

I used a cut file from SVGCuts.com which happens to be a free gift with purchase right now.  Check it out - the box cards have hearts, but could be used for occassions other than Valentines.

I just love the box cards from svgcuts.com.  Mary pays such attention to detail in her designs.

Boys, Hero Arts and OWH

I got carried away with cards for the guys so I am doing a Valentine's Day post with the last group of the masculine cards.  I used a set from Hero Arts that is a fund raising set for www.operationwritehome.org.

I used these 6x6 paper pads:

And then I used sketches to help me create these cards:

I used the coordinating dies to cut out the polar bears:

And here is the owl set.

Well, I am all manned out.  I have made lots of guy cards this week.  I want FLOWERS!!!!!

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day.  Tune in next week for a new theme - embossing.

Let's Wrap Up the Guys and a Christmas Card

This week has been all about the boys.  They need cards too and I have been practicing making them along with my design team.

Today I am sharing masculine cards Sherry made.  This is all about testosterone!  A BIG TRUCK!  LOL

And another one that is loads of fun - a puppy and toilet paper.  It doesn't get more 'guy' than that.  ;-)

I have so many guys cards I am going to have another post tomorrow!  I will be featuring the Operation Write Home sets from Hero Arts.

Thank you for stopping by the blog.  Tune in tomorrow for another set of guy cards.

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

It's Still All About the Guys..........

It's still boy week on the blog.  I spent most of the day on Sunday with sketches and masculine cardstock creating some cards for the men and boys in our lives.

Here is the cardstock I used:

I've included the sketch that I used to create the cards.  A sketch is sometimes more of a starting point for me.

Wow - that is a lot of testosterone!  I know I'm not the only one who has trouble making cards for guys so hopefully this was helpful.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more masculine cards.  And if we're lucky I'll have a Christmas card!

Have a great day and where ever you are - be there.

WOYWW 297 - Messy, messy and more messy..............

On Saturday I cleaned up my craft room.  It was a mess and when my room is messy I can't find table space to work.  So I decided to clean it up.  You know, so I could mess it up again.

And mess it up again I did:

It might be messy, but I did make some cards!  lol

Tune in tomorrow for a slew of masculine cards.

Thank you for stopping by the blog and where ever you are - be there.
