It's a Challenge....

I just love shaker cards.  I used my new leaf dies from Dare2bArtzy to create a fall themed shaker card.

I am entering this card in the Freshly Make Sketches Challenge.

Here is the sketch:

The ribbon and background paper is from Doodlebug, the glitter is from Reflections (Michaels) and the sentiment is also from Dare2bArtzy.

This photo shows the glitter after I shook the card.

I used the stamps that go with dies from Dare2bArtzy to stamp this card.  Then I colored the leaves with Zig Clean Brush markers.

I used Glossy Accents to make water droplets on the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by the blog.  I hope you have a Happy Halloween and a great weekend.  Enjoy your extra hour if you observe Daylight Savings Time.

Tune in next week for Christmas.

It's a Laugh-A-Thon

This week's theme is humor.  To start us off it's the queen of the funny ladies of AI - Diane.

Here is a load of eye candy that is sure to have you LOLing.

The first three cards are using the same image with different color combinations  I LOVE this image and the sentiment cracks me up!

As soon as I saw this stamp I had to have it!  Diane and I were on the same wave length this weekend -- we were coloring this adorable image at the same time.  And the sentiment - LOL.

This one actually makes me cringe a little bit while I am laughing.  You know we've all seen this at the mall.  Don't deny it.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more humor.

Have a great day and laugh out loud.

Doily Delight

This week's theme at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog is Doily Delight.  I am a member of the design team at Creative Knockouts and here is my contribution.

You know the drill - Suzie Snowflake is a digi image from artbymiran.  I pulled her into Silhouette Studio and then used the Trace and Detach feature.  I had not used this feature before - it is soooo cool.  I then added registration marks and used the print and cut feature to get the image printed and cut out.  I used Zig Clean Brush Markers to color her.  I used a doily embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts on the pink background paper, the shimmery doily is a die from Teresa Collins.  I added stickles to the snowflakes.  I just couldn't come up with the right sentiment - so I thought this can be a card for anytime.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you check out Creative Knockouts and join in the challenge.

The winner gets 3 digis from artbymiran.  To get the digi I used for my card go here.

It's a Surprise!

Diane's son Bradley had a birthday this past weekend.  He had a great surprise on his birthday and Diane shared it with a card.

And since it was Bradley' birthday - of course he got a birthday card.  :-)

Diane did a great job using her Silhouette and he MFT die to create some really cute cards.

It is Anything Goes!

This week's theme is one of my favorites.  Anything goes.  I like weekly themes because that gives me boundaries.  I need boundaries.  I watch youtube videos and stalk people's blogs and I get so many ideas.  Sometimes too many ideas and I am overwhelmed when I go to my craft room without a purpose.  I need purpose.  :-)  But every once in a while - I like to go CRAZY!

Today's card is one of my favorite types of cards - the box card.  I got this from one of my favorite companies - SVGCuts.com. This design is absolutely gorgeous.  It's been a while since I've made a box card and I'd forgotten how much fun they are to make.

Notice the little itty bitty butterfly brad.  I found that at Stampaway.  So cute.

I drew in the lines.  I also added some white using a white gel pen.  I'm really happy with the way the card turned out.  So happy I have the pieces and parts for 4 more lying around on my desk.  I think I went overboard!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more anything goes fun.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey.

Snapshot Image Froze Without a Sound

This week's theme is Freeze Frame.  J. Geils Band.  The 80's.  Gotta love the 80's.
Don't judge me.  ;-)

I had colored these images a while back, but hadn't put them on a card.  This week's theme gave me a good reason to get that done.

This image comes from Flat Friends Boutique.  Check out their shop - they have great digi images.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for another Freeze Frame project.

Now Freeze!

I'm reliving a moment from the 80's when the song Freeze Frame by J. Geils Band was popular.  Today's project harkens back to when cameras were a piece of equipment that didn't include a phone.

Here is today's project from Dee.  I just LOVE this card.  I could go on and on and on, but I will let you see the card:

Freeze Frame - Crazy Birds Card Recipe

Frame is by Fiskars - Say Cheese, stamped and cut out.  Added picture corners.  Images are Bird Crazy by Time Holtz & Sizzix were stamped and masked, colored with Zig Clean Brush Markers, then spread Glossy Accents over the entire picture.  The sentiment 'Crazy' stamped on My Favorite Things Stitched Border Die.  The Friends sentimnt is a Tim Holtz die.  Picture was put on a ready made card by DCWV.  The stamps and dies were purchased at Craft Inn.  If you're in the Louisville KY area - check them out.

Jenny was busy in her craft room and created this beautiful card in honor of this week's blog theme - freeze frame.

Under the Sea Card Recipe

Jenny used Tombow water color markers to color her new Our Daily Bread Coral Reef stamp.  She added stickles.  The paper is Bo Bunny Boardwalk.

I think I need to add this stamp to my collection.

Freeze Frame!

I don't know about you, but that phrase makes me think of an 80's tune by the J. Geils Band.  Good times.  Anyhoo - that is this week's theme.  This theme hasn't inspired my design team like last week's Halloween theme did.

Here is my contribution.  I just love Art Impressions Girlfriends stamp sets.  This is one of my faves.

This set is from Art Impressions and it is called Picture Perfect.  I purchased mine from Craft Inn.  If you live in the Louisville KY area - check them out.

Halloween Wrap Up

The theme this week has turned out to be very popular with my Design Team.  Dee is sharing two uber cute projects from her craft room to wrap up this week's theme.

Happy Halloween Card Recipe

Images - Bird Crazy by Tim Holtz colored with Zig Clean Brush Markers.  Martha Stewart oldie but goodie Drippy Goo punch used to border the card.  Splattered yellow shimmer spray ink by Recollections.  Added small drops of glow in the dark paint (shows really well in the dark).  Added black sequins.  Sentiment - Crazy Talk by Tim Holtz.  Tiny punches were used for the witch and the cat.

Holiday Pinwheel Recipe

The paper is by Doodlebug.  The pinwheel was cut using We R Memory Keepers pinwheel punch board.  This is so easy to do and you will need bunches of them soon.  wa ha ha ha ha (evil laugh)

I'm Going Batty

I've been playing with my Fun Stampers Journey stamps and dies and came up with this cute Halloween card.  I also used Ken Oliver's Colorburst to make the background.

Here are the cards:

I thought these cute bats screamed for googly eyes.  And the middle bat is on an action wobble cause, you know, batty bats need action wobbles.

Halllloooowwwweeeeennnnnn..................

This week's blog theme is Halloween.  I wasn't a big Halloween fan in years past.  I remember taking the kids out trick or treating in the cold and rain.  Then before they could eat the candy - we had to check everything.  There was the rush of getting from work to pick up the kids to the putting on the costumes.  I just didn't appreciate the activities that went along with Halloween.

But now as a card maker - I LOVE Halloween.  I don't dress up or collect candy.  I do eat candy.  I make Halloween cards.  The images are fun.  I have my pumpkin that is carved and lit with a small bulb sitting out to put me in the mood.  I have a whole new appreciation for the activities that go along with Halloween.

And evidently my design team (my friends) have that same appreciation because they have outdone themselves this week.

To start off Sherry sent me these last week so it is only fitting that she go first.

Sherry used some colorful paper and stickers to create these cute cards.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Tune in tomorrow for some more fun Halloween projects.
