Creepy Crawly Wrap Up

My design team has some awesome contributions for this week's theme that I've save for today.  Because the best stuff is always saved for last.  :-)

Here are the 2 cards Sherry made.  They are uber cute!

And Rita contributed this adorable card:

It’s made with a Bug-A-Boo digital stamp for the bug  http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
  And a TLC digital sentiment (Monday’s Freebie ) http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/
And includes Copic coloring, stickles on the bug wings & a punched edge.
I hope you've enjoyed this week's theme.  it was fun to step out of my flower comfort zone to create some buggy fun.  Tune in next week for stars and stripes.
Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great weekend and be inspired.

Crawling Through the Week...

This week's theme is A bug's life.  I have been buzzing around creating some buggy projects for this week's perusal.

Check out Monday's entry if you have a buggy project you would like to share.  You could win a Unity Stamp:

And my creation for the day:

I used buggy stamps from Inkadinkadoo along with Versamark Ink and black emobssing powder.  Then I colored these crawly critters with Tombow markers.  The sentiments are from CardzTV.

Stay tuned tomorrow for a wrap up of this buggy week.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 273 - Let's Get Buggy with It

It is a bug's life week on my blog.  It is also Wednesday which means Julia at The Stamping Ground is hosting the world's largest weekly desk hop.  Check it out for inspiration and just plain snoopy fun.

This is my desk this week:

Funny story.  My oldest daughter moved back in (we'll call her Brittni since that's her name) has convinced me to trade rooms with her.  She will take my craft room and I will move my craft room to her room upstairs (that's two flights of stairs).  In a week moment - I said yes.  For multiple reasons.  I think mainly because the thing I enjoy most about my craft room is rearranging it!  And she has to help carry everything up those 2 flights of stairs.  So this will probably be the last time you see my purple walls in a craft room picture.  Until I move my craft room back downstairs of course.  ;-)

And here is my buggy contribution for today:

I used a Heidi Swapp Stencil with Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers and Ripe Persimmon distress inks to create the background.  The butterfly is a stamp by Inkadinkadoo that I stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  The enamel dots are by Reflections (Michaels).

If you have some buggy projects you would like to share - check out Monday's blog entry.  There is a link and a chance to win a Unity stamp:

Stay tuned tomorrow for some more critters.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day and be inspired.

Cute Critters and Crawlies

This week's theme continues with more creepy crawlies.  Only my crawlies aren't creepy, they're just crawly.

I used a coffee bean stubbie along with some other stamps by Judith and Heather to create this little bug:

I also have to give some credit to CardzTV for the sentiment, Inkadinkadoo for some of the foliage and Archival inks from Ranger for the great color.

I hope you enjoyed my little bug creation.  If you'd like to share your buggy creation - go back to the Monday post.  If you link up your project - you could win a Unity stamp.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day and be inspired.

This Week's Theme - It's a Bug's Life

That's right!  It's a Bug's Life is this week's theme.  So share your buggy projects by linking a picture of it below.

On Saturday/Sunday - I will use the random generator to find the winner of this prize:

I used my Cricut Explore to create the card below.  I also used dies from Lil'Inkers including the Hello word die and the stitched circle die.

I used my Cricut Explore to create this card, too.  I used the Hello word die from Lil'Inkers and cut it out in the foil paper from Reflections (Michaels)

I feel bad for keeping these poor little bugs in a jar.  I promise tomorrow's bugs will be free.

An InLinkz Link-up

Thank you for stopping by.  Stay tuned for tomorrow's critters.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Wrapping Up - Up Up and Away and a Test

This week is coming to a close which means Up Up and Away is almost done.  I will miss all those balloons and creatures from the far reaches of outer space.  But next week is It's a Bug's Life - so that will be equally as fun!

I also had a brainstorm.  I thought it might be fun to get anyone who is interested to participate in the week's them by adding a place to link your projects.  Then on Saturday I will do a drawing and the winner will get a gift.  The gift will come from my stash and could be new or gently used.  This is a win win because I get to reduce my stash, but share with someone.

This is going to be a test because I've not used Inlinkz before this.  Starting next week, I will open the link on Monday and it will stay open for the week.  The drawing using the random number generator will be done on Saturday or Sunday.  I will post the winner from the previous week on Monday and ask that you send me your info so I can send you your gift.  Anyone can participate - I will ship overseas.  The gifts won't be huge.  I am going to start by thinning out my Unity Stamps from Stamp of the Week.  They are just sitting in a container and should be used.

Here are the projects that I have created for the last day of the Up Up and Away theme:

And here is the test Inklinkz so if you would like to share your projects - please do.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Remember next week is 'It's a Bug's Life' just in case you want to share your projects.

Have a great day and be inspired.

Up Up and Away - Soaring High

The Up Up and Away theme continues.  Today we're going to be soaring with the clouds and shining with the sun.

Sherry used her Silhouette to create this adorable set up cards that just make me smile:

Stay tuned tomorrow for some more Up Up and Away fun.  We'll continue to soar through this week's theme.

WOYWW 272 - Keep on Keepin On

Since last week's WOYWW which Julia hosts every week on The Stamping Ground I have been very busy.

We went to Glasgow this weekend to a bed and breakfast to have a girl's weekend and to make cards and do scrapbooking.  This bed and breakfast we go to is called the Narrow Way and the owners are awesome.  We have the whole basement set up with tables to do our crafting.  We had a great time cutting up and laughing.  And I almost finished an anniversary album that I am doing for my Preacher and his wife's 60th anniversary party.  All I have left to do is the front page title and the last page.  I need a poem about anniversaries for the last page.  If anyone has a good one - I would love for you to share it with me.

When I go on a trip - I like to clean before I leave so that when I come back everything is neat and tidy.  So when I came home my room was nice and tidy.  That was until I started unpacking.  :-)  And once I unpacked, I needed to create some Up Up and Away projects for my blog this week.

Here is my room now.  It's kind of a happy medium right now:

I still have to put together my cart from Ikea.  Maybe I will have that together by next week.

Thank you for stopping by.  I am going to go desk hopping, but it will probably be Thursday before I am able to visit anyone.  I have dinner plans tomorrow night.  I feel so popular.  LOL

Have a great day and be inspired.

Up Up and Away even more today......

It is Up Up and Away week on the blog.  Who doesn't love a balloon - hot air or helium?

My design team and I have more fun projects to bring you today:

Here is a card that I made using my Silhouette.

Sherry created this little alien with his spaceship.  It might be pushing the Up Up and Away theme, but we're all about living on the edge.  lol

I hope you enjoyed our Up Up and Away projects.  I hope you will find some inspiration along the way.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day and are inspired.

Up Up and Away

The theme this week is Up Up and Away.  That can include so many different types of projects.

Today we are going with your standard balloons.  We'll get more adventurous later this week.

Diane used an embossing folder and colored an image to make this adorable card:

Anastasia used some Penny Black stamps on some color cardstock along with some coloring to create these cute cards:

I hope you've enjoyed today's inspiration from the design team.  Stay tuned tomorrow for some more Up Up and Away fun.

Flower Power Finale!

I am so glad you joined me today.  I missed yesterday, but it will be so worth it.  Today I have projects from Anastasia, Sherry and myself.

This is the first post from Anastasia and I am sure you are going to love it.  Sherry is sharing a beautiful card that she made in Rita's class using Copic markers.  My card was made using my Silhouette print and cut feature.

Flower Power Continues......

Today I want to share some more cards that Sherry and I made for this week's theme.

For the previous card I used my new dies from Simon Says Stamp.  They do not cut the flowers all the way through.  I think they turned out well.  Since this picture was taken, I added some enamel dots to the middle of the flowers.  I will have to take a picture and share it.  I think it finishes off the card.

Stay tuned tomorrow for some more FLOWER POWER!  Sherry has a beautiful card to share and I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to create my card for tomorrow.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Have a great day and be inspired.

WOYWW 271 - It's all about the flowers..

Yes - it's another Wednesday which means it is time to take a picture of my work area and link it up on Julia's Stamping Ground for the world's largest desk hop.

Here is my desk this week:

Well - this is embarrassing.  I set up my post, but got sidetracked and neglected to finish it!  But better late than never - right?  I've been working on projects using flowers as the theme this week is FLOWER POWER!

I am going to go desk hopping after work. I'm looking forward to getting some inspiration.  :-)

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day and be inspired.

Flower Power Continues.......

Yep - more flowers.  My design team has contributed some beautiful cards for this week's theme.  I don't know about you, but I cannot resist a beauitful flower card.

Diane has been playing with embossing folders and ink.  I like what she's created:

Sherry used one of the new stamps she got from Stampaway on Saturday.  Big flowers are so pretty.  And of course you have to add sparkle and a bow to top it off.

Flowers just make me happy.  I would love to receive one of these cards in the mail.  :-)

Stay tuned for more flower power on Thursday.  Tomorrow is WOYWW where we share a picture of our work area with the world.  I hope you will join me.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Have a great day and be inspired.

FLOWER POWER!!! This Week on My Blog

The theme this week is FLOWER POWER!  I LOVE paint splatters, splats and swishes, but I ADORE flowers.  If there is a flower stamp - I must have it.  I am a flower freak.  And I'm proud of it.  :-)

I went to Stampaway in Cincinnati this weekend and guess what I bought......yep - some flower stamps.  One of the first booths we went to was Stamps by Judith and Heather.  Heather was demonstrating their stamps.  I love watching the demonstrations.  They inspire me and show me what  I can do with the stamps I purchase.

Heather created this work of art for me to demonstrate some of their stamps:

Isn't that awesome?

This is my creation.  I totally CASE'd hers:

I actually used stamps from Artistic Impressions as well as the stamps by Judith and Heather.  I had so much fun making this card.  I used stubbies by Heather and Judith to make the butterflies and the ladybug.  The butterflies were made with a heart stubbie and the ladybug was made with a coffee bean stubbie.

I also used Tombow Markers to color the clay pots.  I used Archival Ink to stamp the flowers and foliage.

I will definitely be using these stamps again.  It's almost like creating a little work of art.  I'm also going to be watching videos to get more ideas.

I hope you enjoyed my version of Heather's work of art.  Stay tuned tomorrow for some more flower cards.  My design team (Diane and Sherry) has contributed lots of cards for this week's theme.

Have a great day and be inspired.

A Double Page Layout with Paint in a Can

It's the last day of the paint splatter theme.  I created a 2 page scrapbook layout that encompasses this theme.  I used a little bit of everything.  I used my Cricut Explore to create the paint cans.  I used my Silhouette to create the paint splatter cut outs and frames.  I used Archival Ink and Stampin Up Gorgeous Grunge to stamp the paint splatters.  I also used Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink to in the edges of everything.

I also created a card to be used for an Any Hero card for Operation Write Home.  I used the long streak of paint from the Works of Art set by Stampin Up to create the stripes.  I used a Tim Holtz Stencil to create the stars.

Well that wraps up this week's theme.  I hope you enjoyed the projects and that you will incorporate a little art splatter into your projects.

Tune in next week for FLOWER POWER.  I am a flower freak.  I'm more obsessed with flowers than I am paint splitter, splatter and splats.  I hope you'll stop by.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day and be inspired.

Throwback Thursday - Hero Arts Brush

Last year about this same time I used the Hero Arts stamp set Brush.  I told you I've been obsessed with paint splatters, splats and swishes for quite some time.

Here are the cards I created:

I hope you enjoyed this trip down blog memory lane.  It was fun to go back and see what I'd created using one of my favorite images in the past.

Thanks for stopping by.  I will have a 2 page scrapbook layout tomorrow using this week's theme.  :-)

WOYWW 270 - I"m on a Roll

Well let me just say that Blogger on my ipad doesn't work well.  I am having to retype my whole post which was supposed to be published last night.  Ugh!  But I won't complain because today is Wednesday and that means that Julia is hosting the world's largest desk hop.  Check it out to see desks from around the world and be inspired by what you see.

I have been busy busy busy creating cards for my theme this week which is paint spots, splitters and splats.  Check out other posts for the results of all my hard work.  :-)

Here is my desk this week:

Splitter Splatter Splat

This week different types of art inspired brush strokes and splatters are being featured on the blog.  These come in many different stamp sets and cut images.

I find my swishes in a Stampin Up set Work of Art.  I used varieties of pink ink from Stampin Up to make this card along with a stamp set from Little Yellow Bicycle.

These stamps are also from Stampin Up, Gorgeous Grunge and Papillon Potpourri.  I used Stampin Up ink Poppy Parade.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Stay tuned tomorrow for WOYWW where you can check out desks from around the world.  Have a great day and be inspired.
